Manitowoc police seek surveillance camera footage after shot fired Sunday night
MANITOWOC – Emphasizing there is no threat to the community, police are seeking the public's help in an investigation after a gun was fired near 1600 Galax Drive Sunday night.
According to a Manitowoc Police Department news release, officers and Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the area of 1600 Galax Drive at around 11:45 p.m. April 13 for the report of a woman giving a firearm to a neighbor and stating a man was trying to kill her.

The news release said once officers arrived, they found 'evidence of a firearm being discharged … along with the firearm used.'
Police said initial investigation revealed one gunshot had been fired and a man could be seen on security footage having the gun pointed at him while he ran from the location. As of Monday morning, police said the man had not yet been located.
Officers checked the area with use of K-9 Rolo and a drone from the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office, but were unable to locate the man.

Police said anyone who lives in the area and who has a home surveillance camera is asked to check their footage between 11:30 and 11:45 p.m. on April 13. If they notice any people or vehicles within that time frame, specifically a man wearing a dark shirt and jeans running, and/or have a recording of a loud noise, such as a gunshot, police urge them to call the shift commander at 920-686-6551 and reference case No. 2025-00003830.
