Mango opens new store in Berkshire as part of UK expansion push

Spanish fashion brand Mango continues to grow its international retail presence. As part of its UK expansion strategy, which aims to reach more than 100 retail locations in the country by year-end, the company has opened a new store in Berkshire, in southern England. Located in The Lexicon, a shopping and leisure complex in Bracknell, the store is dedicated exclusively to Mango's womenswear collection. Like its most recent openings, the new location features the brand's New Med concept, inspired by Mediterranean design. The concept offers a warm, sustainable aesthetic that integrates natural, artisanal materials and emphasizes architectural harmony. Mango first entered the UK market in 1999. Since then, it has steadily expanded its footprint, ending last year with more than 80 stores nationwide. This growth has been driven by a retail development plan launched in 2021, when the company opened its first flagship store on London's Oxford Street. Continuing its expansion under the framework of its ambitious 4E Strategic Plan 2024–2026, Mango plans to add 20 more stores in the UK by the end of this year. In this context, the brand also recently opened another womenswear-focused store at The Fort Shopping Park in Birmingham. However, Mango's international expansion plans go beyond the British market. The company is actively growing in other key countries, including the United States—where it plans to open another 20 stores this year—as well as Italy and Germany. Founded by Isak Andic in 1984, the Barcelona-based company now operates in more than 120 markets worldwide, with a network of over 2,800 retail locations. As part of its current expansion strategy, Mango aims to open 500 additional stores globally by the end of 2026. Financially, Mango—led by chairman and CEO Toni Ruiz—saw revenue grow by 7.6% in fiscal year 2024, reaching €3.339 billion. While the company does not break down its sales by product category, womenswear accounted for 79% of total revenue, remaining the brand's primary sales driver. Mango is targeting record sales of €4 billion by the end of 2026.
