Lottery player wins $10 million jackpot on ticket sold in Georgia. Here's where
A gas station customer decided to splurge on a scratch-off lottery ticket — and ended up hitting a $10 million jackpot in Georgia.
A resident of Cartersville beat the 1-in-4,014,000 odds to win a $10 million top prize in the 500X The Money game, the Georgia Lottery announced June 9.
The player bought their $50 lucky ticket at a local QuikTrip convenience store in the outskirts of the Atlanta metropolitan area, officials said.
The player claimed their winnings May 27 as a cash sum of $5,200,629, according to lottery officials.
Two out of four top prizes remain in the game, which debuted in March 2024, records show.
Cartersville, in Bartow County, is about a 45-mile drive northwest from downtown Atlanta.
