Greenwood girls, Greenville boys, pull-out thrillers Wednesday night
The Greenwood girls and Greenville boys won tight games to claim 5A Division II Upper State championships Wednesday night in Florence. Greenwood's girls got a basket from Tykiera Johnson near the buzzer in overtime to down Greenville, 49-47. The Eagles play Berkeley Saturday at 4pm. Greenville's boys took the lead with about 20 seconds remaining in regulation on a bucket from Roman Cooley and denied Fort Mill's attempt at a late shot in defeating the Yellow Jackets, 46-44.
