Gino Brown takes lead with his latest 3-step Afro house song

Gino Brown is dominating the airwaves with his latest single Let Go featuring Temwah. The DJ and songwriter has claimed the No 1 spot on 5FM's 5 Nights: Dance Chart Karabo Molotlhanyi beating out fierce competition from four other top-charting dance records. The song is described as a genre-blending masterpiece in the emerging three-step Afro house style, infused with rich textures from Afro tech, amapiano and broken beat rhythms. 'It's an amazing feeling. Though we don't make music for charts and awards, it still gives me a sense of reassurance that my art and expression are valid and appreciated. Professionally, it keeps me in the game. It keeps me relevant, and that's great for the brand,' Gino told TshisaLIVE. 'The song is about letting go of bad energy and embracing a positive vibe. It invites listeners to reflect, release and renew.' Already a staple on the African music scene, Gino is no stranger to chart success. With a discography that includes hits such as Body Language, Shayi'Number, and Uchi Dai Dai, Gino's music has graced platforms including MTV Base, Channel O and TRACE TV, and he's ignited stages from Big Brother Africa to Gidi Culture Fest in Lagos. His awards and accolades — including a Metro FM Award — cement his status as one of the continent's most versatile and visionary producers. Inspired by pioneers such as Black Coffee, Gino continues to innovate in Afro house while bridging traditional and modern sounds for a global audience. 'Afro house will always be my muse. It allows me to express myself in a way that stays true to my roots — my groove, my swing. I've got beautiful music lined up. It's going to be an amazing chapter. I've evolved and continue to grow. I'm leaning more towards international stages, but I'll always remain authentically South African.'
