SGFI sports certs now on Digilocker
Lucknow: In a major initiative towards
digital transformation in sports
administration, the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) has integrated all its sports certificates with Digilocker, following the directive from the
Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports
.
With this, SGFI has become the first National Federation to implement full-scale digital issuance of certificates via Digilocker.
Lauding SGFI initiative, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya said it's a revolutionary step in sports administration and will empower young athletes.
MoS Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, said, "This digital transformation will benefit young athletes across India. It's a significant step towards building a robust digital sports ecosystem that supports and nurtures our future champions."
In line with this initiative, SGFI has already uploaded to the DigiLocker system: 68th
National School Games
(2024-25): 59,637 certificates. 67th National School Games (2023-24): 60,385 certificates
According to SGFI president Deepak Kumar, the executive committee members of SGFI were instrumental in making this initiative a reality.
