Rochester man dies after hit-and-run
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Officers with the Rochester Police Department were called to the area of S Union Street and Canfield Place where a hit-and-run took place overnight Saturday.
According to the RPD, a 70-year-old man from Rochester was hit shortly after 2 a.m. AMR took the man to Strong Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving.
The RPD's Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident. Anyone with further information is asked to call 911. The area has reopened to vehicular traffic.
