Musicians set to perform at RiverScape concert series

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The bands set to attend the RiverScape Summer Music Series have been announced. Five Rivers released an update on the summer-long event via social media. The following musicians are set to perform: Saturday, May 31 — The Shady Pine will headline 'Bluegrass Night.' Friday, June 6 — Retrobution will perform for '80s Night.' Thursday, June 12 — The Bob Gray Orchestra is bringing big sound for 'Big Band Night.' Friday, June 20 — Luv Locz Experiment will groove out on 'Caribbean Funk Night.' Friday, June 27 — Ryan Mundy will bring country stylings to 'Country Night.' Friday, July 11 — Parrots of the Caribbean will perform 'A Tribute to Jimmy Buffet.' Thursday, July 17 — The Kim Kelly Orchestra will also bring big sound to 'Big Band Night.' Friday, Aug. 1 — Brass Tracks Band will perform at 'A Tribute to Chicago.' Friday, Aug. 8 — The Motown Sounds of Truth will perform at 'Motown Night.' Thursday, Aug. 14 — The Tom Daugherty Orchestra will perform for the third 'Big Band Night.' Friday, Aug. 22 — The Fries Band will rock out for 'Classic Rock Night.' Friday, Aug. 29 — Cassette Junkies will perform for '70s + 80s Rock Night.' The series is free to attend. Howl at the Moon closes Columbus bar after less than four years

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A dueling piano bar known for cocktails served by the bucket has closed its Downtown location after less than four years of business. Howl at the Moon at 504 Park St. permanently shuttered on Monday, the brand announced on social media. The live-music bar had opened in November 2021 and marked the Chicago-based chain's only Ohio location. The abrupt closure came shortly after the bar posted a list of events that were scheduled to take place throughout the next several months, like a 2000s Party and '80s Night set for April, along with Cinco de Mayo night and '90s Weekend in May. The bar was home to collection of fruity cocktails served in 32 ounce and 86 ounce buckets, like the 'Malibu Barbie' bucket with Pink Whitney Vodka, Malibu Strawberry Rum, grenadine and lemon sour. Another bucket, the 'Spill The Tea,' included Deep Eddy Iced Tea Vodka, Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka and Liquid Death Grim Leafer.
