DPM Ahmad Zahid conveys 91st anniversary wishes to Navy
KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi conveyed his good wishes to all Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel in conjunction with its 91st Navy Day celebrations today. He also expressed his appreciation to the security force for their service and sacrifice in defending the country's security and sovereignty of its waters in a Facebook post. 'The Navy's commitment and spirit is something to be very proud of and should be emulated by all Malaysians. 'I pray that the RMN continues to be a highly respected navy at the regional and international level. Continue your excellence for a prosperous and sovereign Malaysia. Insya-Allah,' he said. Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin also took to Facebook to convey his 91st anniversary wishes to the RMN, saying that the country had the highest appreciation for navy personnel who worked tirelessly to protect the sovereignty of the country's territorial waters. 'They have tireless spirit, their bravery is unsurpassed as they venture out at sea, and their loyalty to the country is an inspiration to us all. 'Thank you for your sacrifices and dedication. Your service is incomparable and cannot be repaid. May the RMN continue to progress, grow strong and be blessed in every mission,' he said.

King honours sacrifices of Malaysian navy's personnel, veterans on force's 91st anniversary
KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, today conveyed his greetings on the 91st anniversary of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) to its personnel, veterans and those who have served in the force. According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's Facebook page, His Majesty, as the Supreme Commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces, expressed his most profound gratitude for the dedication, service and sacrifices made by all RMN personnel and veterans in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and security. 'Al-Fatihah for those who have passed away. May they be granted a place among the faithful and the martyrs,' His Majesty remarked. In line with the celebration themed 'TLDM Perkasa, Kedaulatan Terpelihara (RMN Empowered, Sovereignty Preserved)', Sultan Ibrahim also prayed for the RMN to remain a respected force on the global stage. The 91st Navy Day celebrations are being held at the Lumut Naval Base in Perak today. Navy chief Admiral Datuk Dr Zulhelmy Ithnain had previously said that the event would be conducted in moderation in remembrance of last year's tragedy, where two RMN helicopters collided during a rehearsal, resulting in the deaths of 10 personnel. — Bernama
