Evanescence to headline 93X Family Reunion event in St. Paul
The family reunion is on. 93X is again gathering hard rock fans for a 93X Family Reunion, which will be headlined by Evanescence on Sept. 19 at Xcel Energy Center.
It's been more than 20 years since the Grammy-winning band had its breakthrough moment with "Bring Me to Life." Since releasing Fallen in 2003, they've gone through changes, with singer Amy Lee the only original member still on the roster.
The group's most recent album, The Bitter Truth, was released in 2021.
'We're fired up to bring the 93X Family back to Xcel Energy Center,' said Derek Madden, VP of Mainstream Rock and 93X Program Director. "With Evanescence leading an insane lineup, it's going to be a night of pure electricity."
Evanescence will be joined by Poppy, Dorothy, and Black Map.
Poppy was in town earlier this year, headlining a night at The Fillmore not long after making her late-night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Knocked Loose brought her along for their performance of "Suffocate," on which she's a guest singer.
That appearance has been referred to as a "landmark" performance for a hardcore punk group on national TV and, unsurprisingly, was not a hit with all Kimmel viewers.
Tickets for the 93X Family Reunion are available to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 16. A presale starts a day earlier with the code "93XFAMILY."
