Woman, 95, found dead after residential fire in South Glengarry
The body of a 95-year-old woman has been found following a residential fire in South Glengarry Township, Ont., on Monday night.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the fire broke out shortly after 11 p.m. in a home on Fourth Line Road. The residence was fully engulfed by the time first responders arrived, OPP said in a news release.
Police said a man, 73, managed to escape the blaze with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshal. The OPP's forensics unit is also assisting.
