Hailey Bieber dragged for copying Selena Gomez speech nearly word for word: ‘Creepy stalker'
Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery? Hailey Bieber was dragged by fans for seemingly copying one of Selena Gomez's past speeches nearly word for word. Last Thursday, the Rhode Skin founder – who is married to Gomez's ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber – gave a speech when she took the stage to accept the award for Beauty Innovator at the Daily Front Row's 9th Annual Fashion Awards. 'When I started Rhode, I didn't want to start a brand for the sake of starting a brand. I really wanted to create an entire world,' she said, in part, according to a video shared by Access Hollywood. That line in Hailey's speech was nearly verbatim to what Gomez said in a statement from her interview with Spécial Madame Figaro Arabia in 2021. 'I didn't want to launch a makeup line for the sake to launch a brand. What interests me is cultivating beauty from the inside,' the Only Murders in the Building actress said at the time. 'The idea was to tell those who would buy Rare Beauty products: you are beautiful, you are special and here is a place where you can try different things on your lashes, lips, and eyelids … with a big range of colours,' she added. A fan shared a side-by-side image of their speeches on TikTok and fans took to the comments section of the post to express their opinions about the alleged copying. 'she copies everything,' claimed one user. 'creepy stalker copycat,' added another. 'I've said this before and I'll say it again: Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, three times is a pattern,' wrote a third netizen. 'At this point she does it on purpose cause without selena's name, her and her husband would be forgotten. He been flopping ever since he for married,' commented a fourth fan. Other social media users defended Hailey's similar speech. 'And MANY other celebrities use this line, a they want to make it clear they did nor want to make just another 'celebrity company' but wanted to make a real business,' claimed one person. 'It's almost as if… they're both given speeches/told what to say by their PR team… not to mention that's such a vague statement to make???' added another. A third defender said: 'I feel like everyone says this about their own business tho??' Page Six has reached out to Hailey for comment but did not immediately hear back. Gomez's fans believed the video was aimed at the Disney star, who had been body shamed by trolls earlier that week. The Calm Down singer dated the pop star, 31, on and off for nearly eight years before they broke up for good in 2018. Hailey and Justin secretly tied the knot later that year. In 2023, the mum of one posted a video with her pals Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye, in which the trio mouthed: 'I'm not saying she deserved it, but God's timing is always right.' Gomez's fans believed the video was aimed at the Disney star, who had been body shamed by trolls earlier that week. That February, fans accused Hailey of copying Gomez by getting a cursive 'G' tattooed behind her ear like the actress. Hailey eventually set the record straight, declaring it was 'all love' between her and Gomez during her September 2022 Call Her Daddy interview. Two months later, the women posed for a photo together.

Selma Blair flashes her cat underwear for Betsey Johnson after remarkable health update
Selma Blair had a playful exchange with Betsey Johnson at Daily Front Row's 9th Annual Fashion Awards. The 52-year-old actress — who just shared an unbelievable health update — presented the 82-year-old designer with the event's Lifetime Achievement Award on Thursday. But before they took the stage together they joked around on the red carpet, with Selma lifting her metallic gold ruffled skirt to show the fashion icon her cheeky cat underwear. Johnson shared the moment in a TikTok clip posted to her 821,000 followers, writing in the caption, 'I see London, I see France I saw Selma's.... Amazing personality < 3.' She and the silver screen siren matched, wearing different iterations of the same dress — a strapless number with billowy skirts. For her part, Betsey wore a metallic silver version embellished with tiny stones, layering it over a long-sleeved, black, fishnet shirt. She sported her signature whimsical style, wearing her blonde hair in a spiky ponytail with choppy face-framing bangs. Her TikTok has so far collected more than 87,000 likes and hundreds of comments praising the Cruel Intentions star. Taking to Instagram after the public appearance, Selma shared a slew of photos with her 3.2 million followers. In an enthusiastic caption, she wrote, 'Thank you again to @dailyfrontrow for giving me this honor of presenting @betseyjohnson with a lifetime achievement award.' The mother-of-one gushed, 'The love and appreciation and sweetness of this evening was just what we needed. You are the absolute best dear #betseyjohnson.' She gave a remarkable update at the awards show last week, revealing that her MS is 'truly in remission.' The Hollywood vet had previously used a cane and service dog for red carpet appearances. 'I am doing amazingly well. I've been feeling great for about a year,' she told People at the Beverly Hills Hotel ceremony. 'I am finally well enough to really, genuinely... I always try and feel my best, but now that I actually have stamina and energy, getting out and going out isn't so scary.'
