STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Kent Mawhinney, charged in the death and disappearance of Jennifer Farber Dulos, is expected to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford on Friday. Mawhinney was charged with conspiracy to commit murder in January 2020. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge. RELATED >> THE DULOS CASE Jennifer Farber Dulos, 50, a mother of five from New Canaan, disappeared on May 24, 2019, after dropping off her children at school. Authorities believe Farber Dulos was killed by her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos. He was charged with her murder in January 2020 and died by suicide a few weeks later. Mawhinney once served as Dulos' attorney and was a friend of Dulos and Troconis. Mawhinney's license to practice law in Connecticut was suspended in January 2020 by the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch. Michelle Troconis was found guilty in March 2024 of conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit tampering with physical evidence, two counts of tampering with physical evidence and one count of hindering prosecution in the second degree. (WTNH) — Michelle Troconis, the woman convicted for her role in the 2019 disappearance and death of Jennifer Farber Dulos, is set to face a judge Wednesday on a contempt charge at Stamford Superior Court. Troconis is accused of displaying court-sealed child custody documents on her laptop during the trial on Feb. 15, 2024, making them available for the public and reporters to see. According to the warrant, the document detailed the custody battle between Farber Dulos and her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos. Troconis allegedly had a page from the report on her screen where it referenced a psychological evaluation and Farber Dulos' name. Wednesday's court appearance comes ahead of a trial on the matter next month.
