Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein Dating Rumors Explained

Jennifer Lopez is back in the headlines for another romantic venture. Following her recent divorce from Ben Affleck, Lopez is sparking romance rumors once more with Ted Lasso actor Brett Goldstein. The two were recently spotted together on the set of the Broadway show, Oh, Mary!, where they appeared in a photo with the show's cast. However, the two are on opposite sides of the photo. There is not much information about the new union, except from what a source has shared. 'After a very tough start to 2025, Jennifer can't wait to start a new project and it certainly helps that she will be working with a very handsome and smart star like Brett,' the source said. 'He is one hot ticket and a real class act with talent to back it up—he not only acts but he writes amazing scripts. He is like the younger, better, British version of Ben. She thinks he is very cute.' The source also added that, 'It will be a reminder to Ben that she is still hot property in Hollywood and how can that not make her feel great? She is 55 and is still a box office dynamo. This will just be another reminder of that.' The couple previously dated back in 2002 after starring in the film Gigli together. Lopez and Affleck got close quickly, as the actor even proposed in November of that year. However, in 2004, the couple called it quits, and both went on to marry other people and have children. Lopez and Affleck reunited years later in 2021, almost 20 years after their initial romance. The two married quickly in a 2022 Las Vegas ceremony, after rekindling a flame from years prior. Although Lopez and Affleck had history, their marriage only lasted about two years before they separated in 2024, divorcing in early 2025. Lopez has quite the romantic history, having been married four times, as well as another major relationship. The singer was first married to actor Ojani Noa from 1997 until 1998, followed by a union with dancer and actor Chris Judd between 2001 and 2003. Her next marriage came after Lopez called things off with Affleck in 2004, as she quickly tied the knot with singer and actor Marc Anthony. The couple married in 2004 and welcomed twins Emme and Max in 2008. Lopez and Anthony eventually split up in 2014. In 2017, Lopez began dating baseball player Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod). Rodriguez proposed to the actress in 2019, however, the COVID-19 pandemic postponed their wedding plans. In 2021, the couple split up, claiming they were 'better as friends.' And, of course, that leads us to her union with Affleck. Not much is known about the love life of Brett Goldstein, except for a past romance with comedian Beth Rylance. The relationship was confirmed by the actor's co-star, Hannah Waddingham, who said he had a girlfriend. In 2021, Goldstein himself confirmed the romance in his Emmys speech. Bucknell student wins $10K after former Yankee Alex Rodriguez sinks half-court shot during contest

A Bucknell University student had one of the best days of his life on Sunday, all thanks to former baseball star Alex Rodriguez. Ambler native Owen Garwood is $10,000 richer after A-Rod showed he's got some game and sunk a half-court shot during a halftime contest at the Bucknell vs. Army basketball game on Sunday at Sojka Pavilion. On Sunday morning, Rodriguez spoke on a panel with his two business partners, Marc Lore (class of 1993) and Jordy Leiser (class of 2006) in Bucknell's Hislop Auditorium. The three men are co-founders of Jump Platforms, a unified fan experience platform with ticketing and an app. Garwood said he was one of three students randomly selected to team up with the business partners during the halftime contest. The sophomore economics major ended up being paired with none other than A-Rod. CBS News Philadelphia anchor Natasha Brown spoke with Garwood on Monday, and he described the moment as "surreal" and "one of the best days of my life." A video posted by Bucknell Athletics captures a three-point shot contest between the business partners and the half-court magic. "You can see in some of the clips, I'm sitting in the corner of the court with my hands folded just praying that he would make the shot," Garwood said. In the moments after Rodriguez sunk a three-pointer, Garwood asked the former baseball star to sign his friend's baseball card. "He said, 'Yeah, I'll sign it after I make the half-court shot.' So, he kinda spoke it into existence in that sense," Garwood said. "I thought that was really cool." What a day for Bison Nation! Bucknell takes down Army, and A-Rod delivers an unforgettable moment—hitting a half-court shot to win a Bucknell student $10,000! Huge thanks to Alex Rodriguez, Marc Lore '93, and Jordy Leiser '06 for making it such a special day! #rayBucknell — Bucknell Athletics (@Bucknell_Bison) February 23, 2025 In the video, A-Rod riles up the crowd from the court before sending one up. Fans then erupted into even more cheers once he made the miracle shot. Rodrguez then did a victory lap celebrating with Garwood and his friends in a big huddle. Because Rodriguez hit the shot, Garwood won $10,000, which he said he'll donate to either the former baseball player's charity or the Kellan Ford Foundation, and then the rest to his parents to help with tuition. As to what he said to A-Rod right afterward, the Bucknell student said while laughing, "I told him I love him, yeah, that's pretty much what I said." And even though he won it big because of the former Yankees star, Garwood said nothing is going to sway him. He'll always be a Phillies fan. To make the victory even sweeter, Bucknell took home the win over Army 84-53.

Hype, Not Guilt Needed To Push Women's Sports to Next Level

Earlier this month we looked into how football clubs struggle running men's and women's teams. This week, we have a frank interview about where the women's sports boom goes from here, and we bring you a case study in how to structure a takeover of a team on the up (or down). This week's Odd Lots newsletter also hosted Michael Caley, writer of the Expecting Goals, to chat about football financing, and in The Deal, A-Rod and Jason Kelly sat down with Gotham FC owner Carolyn Tisch Blodgett. Check them out.
