Road closed and motorcyclist in hospital after crash
A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash on an A-road. The A370 Main Road at Cleeve, south of Bristol, has been closed in both directions by police investigating the crash. Avon and Somerset Police said the emergency services were called to the area at about 17:30 BST after the crash involving a motorbike and a car. Officers are trying to find the motorcyclist's next of kin, the force added. The car's driver is in hospital as a precaution and their family have been informed. Officers expect the road to remain closed between Meetinghouse Lane and Cleeve Garden Centre for some time to allow the investigation to take place and recover the vehicles. Collision closes main road to Bristol Airport
The A38 has been closed in both directions near Bristol Airport due to an accident. The airport said on X that the incident happened near Barrow Tanks and that the road was closed in both directions from Lime Kiln roundabout to Barrow Tanks. It added that the A1 bus service from Bristol to the airport would be using the A370 instead. "Delays are expected. Please allow additional time for your journey," the statement added.
