Brazilian trade delegation to visit Jordan to explore trade, investment opportunities

AMMAN — A Brazilian trade delegation is scheduled to visit Jordan on Sunday to hold discussions with official institutions and representatives of the private sector to explore trade and investment opportunities available in the Kingdom in several economic sectors. The delegation's five-day visit is organised by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), in cooperation with the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), and in coordination with the Jordanian embassy in Sao Paulo, and is headed by President of ABCC William Adeeb Deeb, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The delegation includes business owners and executives from various economic sectors, as well as representatives from the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Investment Promotion Agency of the State of Sao Paulo. The visit will include a Jordanian-Brazilian business forum, bilateral meetings between companies, meetings at the ministries of agriculture, industry, trade and supply, and investment, and the Jordan Customs Department, as well as tours to promote tourist areas. JCC President Khalil Hajj Tawfiq said that the delegation's visit is an 'important' step in the process of developing economic relations with Brazil, and opens new horizons to increase trade exchanges between the two countries, praising the efforts made by Jordanian Ambassador to Brazil Maan Masaed in this regard. Hajj Tawfiq added that the visit will allow the delegation to see investment opportunities and the business environment, and build strategic partnerships, stressing that the choice of the delegation to visit Jordan highlights that the Kingdom is the 'focus' of attention of investors and companies from various countries. He pointed out that Brazil is one of the "most important" South American countries economically, and has 'strong and developed' industries in many fields, especially in the food sector, which will contribute to boosting trade relations with Jordanian companies. The volume of trade exchange between the two countries during the past year amounted to JD511 million, of which JD60 million were Jordanian exports, focused on the products of the chemical industries and related products, followed by clothing and textiles and plant products such as dates, herbs and foodstuff. © Copyright The Jordan Times. Export Bahrain and ABCC sign MoU to enhance trade opportunities

Export Bahrain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) to enhance trade relations. The MoU focuses on increasing business facilitations and providing vital support to Bahrain-based businesses for accessing the Brazilian market. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), focusing on strengthening commercial ties and boosting trade cooperation, was signed by Safa Sharif Abdulkhaliq, Chief Executive Officer of Export Bahrain, and Mohamad Mourad, Secretary General of the ABCC. The signing ceremony was attended by Adriano Silva Pucci, the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The agreement seeks to create multiple avenues of collaboration between both entities, encouraging businesses to expand and establish mutual trade relations. It aims to coordinate initiatives and activities that facilitate and promote trade between the two sides, while also creating communication channels that enable the exchange of information and expertise. It will empower both Export Bahrain and the ABCC to foster economic projects and streamline business operations, serving as a bridge between enterprises in Bahrain and Brazil. This will allow new international ventures to thrive within a dynamic and prosperous trade environment, working towards the shared goal of strengthening exports between both nations. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of Export Bahrain, affirmed that this agreement represents a strategic step towards strengthening international trade relations, saying: 'This partnership reflects the Kingdom's steadfast commitment to expanding its economic alliances and solidifying its position as a global trade hub. Strengthening cooperation with the Federative Republic of Brazil opens new horizons for Bahrain-based businesses and provides unprecedented opportunities to enhance their competitiveness, driving economic growth and diversifying national revenue sources. This collaboration also supports the strategic direction toward developing a more open and dynamic trade environment, further reinforcing the Kingdom's status as a key destination for trade and investment on the global stage. Safa Abdulkhaliq, Chief Executive Officer of Export Bahrain, said: 'This agreement represents a pivotal advancement in our mission to strengthen economic and trade relations between Bahrain and Brazil. By facilitating access to new markets, this collaboration will provide long-term opportunities for Bahrain-based businesses and significantly contribute to the expansion of national exports.' She further emphasised, 'Export Bahrain is unwavering in its commitment to fostering regional and global opportunities across all sectors that bolster our national economy. Our ultimate goal is to enhance and elevate our exports while increasing their global competitiveness. Moreover, with Brazil being a major source of imports, this agreement will not only bolster our exporting initiatives but also establish a more balanced and strategic trade relationship between imports and exports.' Mohamad Mourad, Secretary General of the ABCC, also commented: 'We are proud of our partnership with Export Bahrain, which represents a strategic step toward strengthening trade ties between Bahrain and Brazil. Royal Air Maroc Plans Major Expansion in Brazilian Market

Doha – Royal Air Maroc aims to increase its São Paulo-Casablanca flight frequency from three to up to six weekly flights by early 2026, while also planning to launch services to Rio de Janeiro, the airline's Director-General in Brazil Othman Baba stated, as reported by the Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA). During his visit to the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) on Tuesday, Baba revealed that the current flights have maintained high occupancy rates between 85% and 88% since operations resumed. 'First we started with three flights, but we aim to reach five or six, as we did before the pandemic,' he said. The airline had already signaled its expansion plans shortly after resuming operations in December 2024, when it gathered top travel agents in São Paulo. At the time, Baba noted that bookings were increasing with seats fully booked for several weeks ahead in both directions, while also elaborating on growing Brazilian interest in various Moroccan destinations, particularly Marrakech, Agadir, and historic cities like Rabat, Fez, and Essaouira. The airline, which resumed its Brazil operations after a five-year hiatus due to COVID-19, is showing strong confidence in the Brazilian market. 'We have a clear strategy for the Brazilian market. The Brazilian market is not new for Royal Air Maroc. We were here before the pandemic, and it was working very well for us,' Baba affirmed in the ABCC meeting. The current São Paulo-Casablanca route primarily serves as a connection hub, with approximately 90% of Brazilian travelers using it to reach European cities, while the remaining 10% travel to African destinations, including Morocco. The airline connects to more than 35 African countries. 'We are and we hope to be a bridge between Africa and the world. We already are one of the best airlines between Africa and Europe,' Baba asserted. The company established its São Paulo office in November 2024, following the opening of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) in the city about a year and a half ago. 'We are working in close cooperation with our tourism board to once again place Morocco at the top of the Brazilian travelers' minds,' Baba pointed out. During the ABCC meeting, which included the organization's President William Abid Dib Jr. and other key officials, discussions covered potential partnerships, Muslim-friendly tourism, trade missions, and initiatives through the ABCC's WAHI women's committee. The São Paulo-Casablanca service currently operates three times weekly, with flights departing Casablanca on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 4:45 p.m., arriving in São Paulo at 10:20 p.m. Return flights leave São Paulo at 12:25 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in Casablanca at 1:15 p.m. Read also: Royal Air Maroc, Brazil's Gol Linhas Aereas Sign Code Share Agreement Tags: Brazil AviationMorocco-Brazil RelationsRoyal Air Maroc
