East Coast charm lit up the Westin Hotel on Thursday, May 29, as the 29th edition of Evening in the Maritimes raised $300,000 for ABLE2: Support for People with Disabilities. Article content More than 500 guests — including business leaders, politicians and media personalities — gathered for the sold-out gala, complete with fresh lobster from Nova Scotia and a spirited auction that brought in $37,000. The evening featured a touching interview with ABLE2 program user Mark Evraire and his volunteer ally Daniel Spagnuolo. 'I went in fairly blindly,' Spagnuolo said of volunteering.
