Father's Day weekend celebration in Syracuse
SYRACUSE. N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Looking for something fun to do Father's Day weekend?
The Westcott Community Center & Westcott Area Cultural Coalition will host two special events.
The day before Father's Day, Saturday, June 14, will be the Westcott Art Trail, celebrating 24 years. This event includes 85 local artists in their front yards who will show off their paintings, pottery, fiber art, printmaking, photography, jewelry, glass art, and upcycled art. This event will be happening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will also be food for sale from Mom's Diner and PB&J's Lunchbox at Erwin Church.
If you would like a map, event goers can pick up a map at Westcott Community Center and Petit Library, or scan the QR Code on the art trail website.
Live music will be provided along the way by Jess Novak, Allen Fellows Project, Christoper White, Chloe Danes, Ashley Cox, and Garrett Mitchell.
On Father's Day, Sunday, June 15, Strings In The Garden will host A Celebration of Roses & Our Lives will happen from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. This event includes a free concert performed by the Syracuse Orchestra String Quartet in the EM Mills Rose Garden Gazebo. Located at the Ostrom Avenue entrance to Thornden Park.
