'AEW Dynamite' Star Planned for Shocking Return by 'All In Texas'

A marquee talent for "AEW Dynamite" is reportedly being factored into plans for a return. AEW has a slew of top active stars such as Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, The Hurt Syndicate, MJF, and Kenny Omega, to name a few. While all of the names mentioned have prominent roles on AEW TV, the company has been without one of its seasoned veterans since April 6. Advertisement Cope, formerly known as Edge under the WWE banner, was written off TV during "AEW Dynasty 2025." Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reports that while an exact return date for Cope is unknown, he is being planned for a big match during the "All In Texas" show on July 12. Cope challenged Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at "AEW Revolution 2025."(via AEW) After failing to capture the AEW World Trios Championship from Death Riders, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR ambushed Cope. Wheeler leveled Cope with three chair shots to the head. The former AEW TNT Champion was stretchered out of the arena, and play-by-play commentator Excalibur questioned if that was the last fans would see of Cope in an AEW ring. There is speculation that Cope will ultimately realign with his former longtime partner Christian Cage at some point. As of late, Cage has been at odds with Nick Wayne of The Patriarchy. Some are wondering if Cage will ultimately be kicked out of the group, which would lead to a reunion with Cope. If Cage is out of The Patriarchy by "All In Texas," then the door would be open for him to team with Cope to take on FTR. Related: 'WWE SmackDown' Talent Departure Rumors Disputed Amid Roster Cuts

Adam Cole Gives His First Thoughts As AEW TNT Champion

Adam Cole reflects on winning the TNT Championship at AEW Dynasty. Adam Cole, the new TNT Champion, opened up about his emotional title win at AEW Dynasty 2025, which took place at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cole challenged Daniel Garcia in a no-time-limit, no-outside-interference match and walked away with his first singles title in AEW since joining the company in 2021. Advertisement During the AEW Dynasty Post Show Media Scrum, Adam Cole responded to a question about what it meant to win the championship in Philadelphia on the 17th anniversary of his pro wrestling debut. He said the moment ranked among the most meaningful in his entire career. 'God. So, again, anytime there's any sort of anniversary for me in wrestling specifically, you go back and reminisce on the most special and important moments of your career and this one has gotta be toward the top. I mean, just considering the past few years and the struggles I've gone through with the head injuries, and then, six months later, my ankle exploded.' 'That took over a year to come back from. So mentally, it was really discouraging. And then to fast forward April 6, 2008, I had my very first match here in Philadelphia. And now, to fast forward to April 6, 2025, and win my first singles championship in AEW, against a guy I really respect in Danny Garcia it was incredibly special. I'll never forget it.' (Frank Jansky/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images) (Icon Sportswire via Getty Images) AEW Dynasty 2025 will be a Sunday night gold rush. Set to go down inside Philadelphia's Liacouras Center, this year's annual Dynasty pay-per-view features seven total titles on the line, headlined by the latest defense of the AEW World Championship by Jon Moxley. Advertisement Moxley has been on a seemingly never-ending reign of terror throughout his current title reign as the AEW World Champion. Unlike his most recent rival Cope, Moxley's next challenger comes in the form of a former AEW World titleholder, Swerve Strickland. The feud kicked off after Strickland won his No. 1-contender match against Ricochet at March's AEW Revolution 2025 event. However, "The Man That Gravity Forgot," Ricochet, isn't without a title shot of his own at AEW Dynasty. The card's lone three-way match has all the makings to be the most absurd highlight-producer of the night, when Kenny Omega defends his AEW International title against Ricochet and Mike Bailey. AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm appears to have an uphill climb in her latest title defense. She'll take on the red-hot AEW newcomer and dominant force, Megan Bayne. While the pairing is the lone women's championship match of the night, the Owen Hart Cup Tournament kicks off at AEW Dynasty when TBS Champion Mercedes Mones faces Julia Hart, who came in at No. 12 in Uncrowned's prestigious 25 under 25 for '25 list. On the men's side, Will Ospreay clashes with Kevin Knight. Advertisement Those are just a handful of some of the great matchups on tap at AEW Dynasty 2025.
