Ronaldo appeared to announce his exit on Monday ahead of his contract expiring on June 30. In a cryptic social media post, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner wrote: "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all.". Speculation had already begun on Ronaldo's next destination with the Portuguese seemingly in no mood to retire. But Al-Nassr sporting director Fernando Hierro believes he can change Ronaldo's mind and get him to pen a new deal. Hierro told a press conference on Thursday: "I have to be positive. I don't think Ronaldo will leave Al-Nassr. In any case, we are working hard on all aspects. "Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nassr runs until the end of June 30.
