Las Vegas residents line up overnight for ALDI grand opening
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — ALDI has arrived in Southern Nevada. The new store is located at 621 Marks Street in Henderson and it held a grand opening celebration on Thursday, April 24. ALDI fans started lining up outside the store at 10:30 p.m. the night before. By around 7 a.m., there were close to 200 shoppers in line. The waiting paid off as the first 100 customers received a gift bag filled with a sampling of ALDI-exclusive products, a commemorative quarter-sized ALDI poker chip to unlock shopping carts, and a mystery gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket giveaway. Known for helping families save money, up to 36 percent on average grocery bills, ALDI offers a streamlined, no-frills shopping experience that focuses on quality, affordability, and simplicity. Some of the store's deals included 3 pounds of turkey meat for under $9 and a dozen eggs priced at just $4.50. The store also includes ALDI's unique cart system, which requires shoppers to deposit a quarter to unlock a cart. Once the cart is returned, so is the quarter, a simple system that helps keep prices low by eliminating the need for cart wranglers. ALDI sets April 24 opening for 2 of its 3 locations in the Las Vegas valley
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The first two ALDI locations in the Las Vegas valley will open on Thursday, April 24, the company announced on Tuesday. The first 100 customers at each store will win a gift bag. The grocery chain will open its Henderson store at 621 Marks St. and its North Las Vegas store at 2106 W. Craig Road on the same day at 9 a.m. A third store in the southwest valley — Rainbow Boulevard at Arby Avenue — is expected to open in May, an ALDI news release said. A gift bag filled with ALDI-exclusive products will go to each of the first 100 customers at the Henderson and North Las Vegas locations. They will also get a commemorative quarter-sized ALDI poker chip that can be used to unlock the carts and a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket giveaway program, which gives entrants a chance to win part of $2,200 in prizes. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a $500 ALDI gift card through opening weekend. 'At our new Las Vegas-area ALDI stores, shoppers will find that every decision we make, from our product selection to store layout, is to provide our customers with the best products at the lowest possible prices of any national grocer,' Shawn Eddy, ALDI regional vice president, said. 'Our customers can save up to 36% on an average household's shopping list. As shoppers look for better ways to stretch their dollar, ALDI is providing the Las Vegas area with easier access to quality groceries at affordable prices.' The Henderson grand opening will also offer shoppers a chance to win access to the High Savers Room from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Inside, shoppers will taste ALDI brands, have a chance to receive free Vegas-themed ALDI Gear and more. All three Las Vegas valley locations will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. News that ALDI was planning a store in Henderson was first reported in January 2024. ALDI to open new store in Amite
AMITE, La. (WGNO) — A new ALDI is set to open in Amite this month. According to a news release, the Amite ALDI will be located inside the former Winn-Dixie at 804 W Oak Street and offer a variety of organic meats, produce, seafood, cheese, wine and more. The grocery chain also offers seasonal products, 'limited-time ALDI finds' and curbside pickup options. Alo Yoga, Mango to open in Metairie's Lakeside Shopping Center The new store will be ALDI's first location in Amite. 'As shoppers look for ways to stretch their dollars further, our new ALDI store will deliver the Amite community affordable, quality groceries, a quick, easy shopping experience, shelves stocked with only the best products and on-trend ALDI Finds,' said Heather Moore, Loxley vice president for ALDI.
