What Makes AngioDynamics (ANGO) a Strong Momentum Stock: Buy Now?

Momentum investing revolves around the idea of following a stock's recent trend in either direction. In the 'long' context, investors will be essentially be "buying high, but hoping to sell even higher." With this methodology, taking advantage of trends in a stock's price is key; once a stock establishes a course, it is more than likely to continue moving that way. The goal is that once a stock heads down a fixed path, it will lead to timely and profitable trades. While many investors like to look for momentum in stocks, this can be very tough to define. There is a lot of debate surrounding which metrics are the best to focus on and which are poor quality indicators of future performance. The Zacks Momentum Style Score, part of the Zacks Style Scores, helps address this issue for us. Below, we take a look at AngioDynamics (ANGO), which currently has a Momentum Style Score of B. We also discuss some of the main drivers of the Momentum Style Score, like price change and earnings estimate revisions. It's also important to note that Style Scores work as a complement to the Zacks Rank, our stock rating system that has an impressive track record of outperformance. AngioDynamics currently has a Zacks Rank of #1 (Strong Buy). Our research shows that stocks rated Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) and #2 (Buy) and Style Scores of A or B outperform the market over the following one-month period. You can see the current list of Zacks #1 Rank Stocks here >>> Let's discuss some of the components of the Momentum Style Score for ANGO that show why this medical device maker shows promise as a solid momentum pick. A good momentum benchmark for a stock is to look at its short-term price activity, as this can reflect both current interest and if buyers or sellers currently have the upper hand. It's also helpful to compare a security to its industry; this can show investors the best companies in a particular area. For ANGO, shares are up 7.94% over the past week while the Zacks Medical - Instruments industry is up 0.37% over the same time period. Shares are looking quite well from a longer time frame too, as the monthly price change of 26.88% compares favorably with the industry's 1.13% performance as well. While any stock can see its price increase, it takes a real winner to consistently beat the market. That is why looking at longer term price metrics -- such as performance over the past three months or year -- can be useful as well. Shares of AngioDynamics have increased 20.07% over the past quarter, and have gained 71.09% in the last year. In comparison, the S&P 500 has only moved 2.37% and 14.4%, respectively. Investors should also take note of ANGO's average 20-day trading volume. Volume is a useful item in many ways, and the 20-day average establishes a good price-to-volume baseline; a rising stock with above average volume is generally a bullish sign, whereas a declining stock on above average volume is typically bearish. Right now, ANGO is averaging 535,625 shares for the last 20 days. The Zacks Momentum Style Score encompasses many things, including estimate revisions and a stock's price movement. Investors should note that earnings estimates are also significant to the Zacks Rank, and a nice path here can be promising. We have recently been noticing this with ANGO. Over the past two months, 2 earnings estimates moved higher compared to none lower for the full year. These revisions helped boost ANGO's consensus estimate, increasing from -$0.36 to -$0.29 in the past 60 days. Looking at the next fiscal year, 2 estimates have moved upwards while there have been no downward revisions in the same time period. Taking into account all of these elements, it should come as no surprise that ANGO is a #1 (Strong Buy) stock with a Momentum Score of B. If you've been searching for a fresh pick that's set to rise in the near-term, make sure to keep AngioDynamics on your short list. Want the latest recommendations from Zacks Investment Research? Five bargain high-street fashion brands that A-list celebrities can't get enough of

WE all love a bargain and looking stylish for less. And as it turns out, so do the very rich and very famous. Celebrity style has long felt like it's out of our reach, as most of us don't have their budgets or a personal stylist to dress us - but that's changed. Nowadays, you can find the world's most-in-demand models, Hollywood's elite and even royalty turning to the high street for their outfits. And if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us. Here, Fashion Assistant Emily Regan reveals the high-street shops celebs love and what you need to be buying. M ANGO Last week Hailey Bieber, was papped nailing low-key dressing in this exact Mango trench - and it's still available to buy. Hailey paired it with a basic white tank and this season's must-have capri pants, plus some black shades and a mini heel to complete the look. And it appears that she's not the only one who's a fan of the high-street retailer. In 2023, the fashion world went crazy when supermodel Gigi Hadid was spotted in THAT leather jacket from Mango, as shoppers rushed to get their hands on the £299.99 piece that sold out almost instantly. 19 In fact, there's a whole squad of stylish stars who are fans of high-street fashion, and it's not just jackets on their radar. Supermodel, Emily Ratajkowski has also made her love for the brand be known, when last year she was papped in New York sporting a white, asymmetrical, embroidered summer dress by Mango, paired with red trainers. And there's actually some stock left of the dress for a discounted rate of just £74.99 on Mango's Outlet site. Although it's old season, it's a gorgeous dress that will be a staple in your summer wardrobe for years to come, so I'd recommend checking out soon as sizes are selling fast. DUNE LONDON Hollywood actress Daisy Edgar Jones was spotted in NYC last week sporting a chocolate-brown, woven shoulder bag from Dune London, which retails at £129. With her phone in one hand and the iconic slouchy bag draped over her other shoulder, she was photographed about to get into a car wearing a casual burgundy leather jacket, high-waisted blue jeans and black loafers. The shoes and accessories brand has seemingly become a celeb fave, also previously being worn by Gigi's lookalike sister Bella Hadid during a trip to Los Angeles. It's a much more affordable dupe of the Bottega Hop bag which retails at £3,670, so it's no wonder it's now sold out eight times with a saving of over £3,500. Three times a charm, American actress Katie Holmes swapped out her usual designer handbag for the XL version of the Deliberate bag, which now comes in five different colourways and with two inside pouches. ZARA Plus, fan-favourite retailer Zara appears to have earned the royal stamp of approval. Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is well-known for her wardrobe, which blends high-end designer labels with more affordable, budget-friendly pieces. Her love for its double-breasted boucle blazers has become noticeable - so much so that she has been spotted re-wearing them on multiple occasions and the style has become a staple, with the retailer offering them year on year in a range of colours. The exact style is currently sold out (don't worry, we're sure it'll be back) but you can buy lots of similar versions HERE. And she's not the only royal to wear the brand. In her recent Netflix series With Love, Meghan the Duchess of Sussex can be seen dressed in pieces from Zara, too, notably a crinkled brown dress from the brand's premium S/S '24 collection, which unfortunately is now sold-out. 19 She refers to her 'high-low mix' style within the show, mentioning that she loves to pair budget-friendly pieces with more luxury items. H&M H&M is not shy of a designer collab or two, and in 2024, it marked 20 years of designer collaborations, including Karl Lagerfeld, Isabel Marant, Moschino, and most recently Magda Butrym. However, H&M has since shifted it's focus, featuring some of the world's most famous faces as ambassadors for its seasonal drops. This includes the likes of Charli XCX, Tyla and perhaps one of fashion's most famous Nepo babies, Lila Moss. In October last year, Lila shared a photo to her Instagram, where she can be seen wearing a stylish, knitted polo shirt, while sitting outside a book store. Despite looking uber-expensive, the polo shirt is actually from no other than H&M and retails at just £54.99. If its good enough for Lila Moss, it's good enough for us. Most sizes are sold-out, but there are still a couple of XS pieces left, so be quick. RIXO Rixo may be a little more on the pricier side, but when it comes to occasionwear, most of us don't mind spending a little more on the perfect piece. Founded in 2015, the brand is reasonably new, but has soared quickly and now has three stores in the heart of London. Most known for its hand-painted prints and vintage designs, it's easy to see why Rixo would be a winner for old-money aesthetic pro Sofia Grainge. The model, who's also Lionel Richie's daughter, took to Instagram in 2022 wearing the Meg Leopard Midi Dress, and the post has gained over 80k likes. Polka dots and leopard print are both huge for this summer, and blended together, this piece is sure to be a hit with shoppers. And it comes in a petite length too for us shorter girlies. Olivia Rodrigo has also been spotted wearing a bright, printed halterneck dress from Rixo with a detachable polka-dot scarf, on her recent holiday to Morocco. With the warmer weather approaching, this piece is perfect for any upcoming occasions, and it comes in two other prints. The combination of mixed prints and colours makes it an ideal choice for everything from weddings and races to an evening outfit while on holiday, just like Olivia! This dress is a little pricier at £365, but fear not, the brand has a rental and resale platform so you can either rent one of their dresses from four to 30 days or buy it second-hand for less. Kate Middleton's love of recycling clothes KATE Middleton might be a Princess, but that certainly doesn't stop her from rewearing her favourite frocks. Jenny Packham Gown: She first worn the frock to an ARK Gala Dinner in June 2011, and then rewore it three years later to the National Portrait Gallery in February 2014. Alexander McQueen Coat Dress: Kate donned the beautiful number for Trooping the Colour in June 2016 and then just a year later, was spotted in it again for the Easter Service, in April 2017. Temperley London Dress: She first wore the black lace dress at the War Horse Premiere, in January 2012, but then, just months later, donned it again, at the St. Andrews University Gala, in December 2012. Hobbs Coat: Even Kate is a fan of a staple coat, as she's reworn a classic number from Hobbs, which she first wore on Christmas Day in December 2012, and then again on a visit to Newcastle, in October 2013. Kate Middleton's sartorial choices continue to inspire many, proving that elegance and sustainability can go hand in hand.

Shareholders in AngioDynamics (NASDAQ:ANGO) are in the red if they invested three years ago

Investing in stocks inevitably means buying into some companies that perform poorly. But the last three years have been particularly tough on longer term AngioDynamics, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANGO) shareholders. So they might be feeling emotional about the 61% share price collapse, in that time. It's worthwhile assessing if the company's economics have been moving in lockstep with these underwhelming shareholder returns, or if there is some disparity between the two. So let's do just that. AI is about to change healthcare. These 20 stocks are working on everything from early diagnostics to drug discovery. The best part - they are all under $10bn in marketcap - there is still time to get in early. Given that AngioDynamics didn't make a profit in the last twelve months, we'll focus on revenue growth to form a quick view of its business development. Generally speaking, companies without profits are expected to grow revenue every year, and at a good clip. That's because fast revenue growth can be easily extrapolated to forecast profits, often of considerable size. In the last three years AngioDynamics saw its revenue shrink by 3.5% per year. That is not a good result. The share price decline of 17% compound, over three years, is understandable given the company doesn't have profits to boast of, and revenue is moving in the wrong direction. Of course, it's the future that will determine whether today's price is a good one. We don't generally like to own companies that lose money and can't grow revenues. But any company is worth looking at when it makes a maiden profit. You can see below how earnings and revenue have changed over time (discover the exact values by clicking on the image). We consider it positive that insiders have made significant purchases in the last year. Having said that, most people consider earnings and revenue growth trends to be a more meaningful guide to the business. This free report showing analyst forecasts should help you form a view on AngioDynamics We're pleased to report that AngioDynamics shareholders have received a total shareholder return of 30% over one year. Notably the five-year annualised TSR loss of 2% per year compares very unfavourably with the recent share price performance. This makes us a little wary, but the business might have turned around its fortunes. I find it very interesting to look at share price over the long term as a proxy for business performance. But to truly gain insight, we need to consider other information, too. Case in point: We've spotted 1 warning sign for AngioDynamics you should be aware of.
