Bihar's popular educator and YouTuber Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, recently got married at a private wedding ceremony followed by a grand reception in Patna, which was attended by several prominent figures, including politician Tejashwi Yadav. However, it was his wife A S Khan's 'ghoonghat' that grabbed eyeballs and triggered backlash on social media. In a recent podcast with ANI, Khan Sir broke the silence on the controversy, clarifying that the decision to wear the veil was entirely his wife's. 'My wife decided to wear the veil at the reception,' he said. 'She said it was her childhood dream and that every girl dreams of becoming a bride with a veil. According to her, in a crowd of people, the veil gives the bride a unique identity.' 'She said that since everyone would already be well-dressed at the reception, the veil would help her stand out. I told her that people might blame me for it, but she responded, 'No, it's my childhood dream.' She was adamant, and eventually I said okay,' he added. When asked whether the criticism on social media affected him, Khan Sir responded, 'No, we come from a village. And we cannot leave the village behind.' It's not right to do so without knowing the full story,' another user commented. Khan Sir runs the Khan GS Research Centre as well as a popular educational YouTube channel. Admired for his ability to simplify complex topics, Khan Sir has won praise for his teaching style. He reportedly completed his early education at Parmar Mission School and pursued higher studies at the University of Allahabad, where he earned degrees in BSc, MSc, and MA in Geography.

Khan Sir, whose real name is reportedly Faisal Khan, got married in an intimate ceremony in Bihar last month before hosting a grand reception for family, friends and relatives. However, the celebrations were overshadowed when social media users criticised Khan Sir over his wife's veiled look. Addressing the issue on a recent podcast with ANI, Khan Sir said it was his wife's decision to keep the veil as she wanted to stand out from the rest of the gathering. "It was my wife's decision to wear the veil at the reception. She said it was her childhood dream and that every girl dreams of becoming a bride with a veil. As per her, the bride has a different identity wearing the veil in a crowd of people," said Khan Sir. "She said since everyone is already dressed at the reception, the veil would help her stand out. I told her people would blame me, to which she replied, 'No, it's my childhood dream'. She was stubborn that she wanted to be this way, and at the end, I said okay," he added. "I did not tell you guys one thing: when the war was on, I got married," he could be heard telling a class of students in one of the videos circulating on social media. "Initially I wanted to put off the wedding and go and help the soldiers fighting the enemy at the borders. But things had been planned by my parents and they were distraught." "Finally, I relented. I cursed the Pakistanis for their sudden attack and agreed to tie the knot, but on the condition that nobody would be invited." Khan Sir runs the Khan GS Research Centre in Patna and also has a YouTube channel by the same name. As of now, he has 24.7 million subscribers and features around 400 videos.

In a recent podcast with ANI, he addressed the controversy, claiming that it was his wife, AS Khan, who decided to keep her face covered with a red veil at the reception ceremony. The host discusses the 'VIPs' present at his wedding before mentioning the controversy over the veil. In response, the educator claims that it was his wife's decision to keep her face covered. Khan sir chose a burgundy suit for the event. Explaining more, Khan Sir says that his wife wanted to look different from all the nicely dressed people in the reception and chose to keep her face covered to feel like a bride and the centre of attention, something - according to the YouTuber - she has dreamt of since she was a child. Among those who attended Khan's Sir wedding was fellow educator and CEO of Physics Wallah Alakh Pandey. He was seen hugging Khan Sir, whose real name is reportedly Faisal Khan, at the reception. She paired it with a heavily embroidered blouse and a floor-sweeping lehenga skirt. She completed her look with a red dupatta that covered her face. While Khan Sir is famous as an educator and creator of educational content, his wife, AS Khan, is a government official from Siwan, Bihar.
