Iran's national broadcaster Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) abruptly cut a live news segment on Monday after an Israeli airstrike reportedly struck its headquarters in central Tehran.
During the broadcast, a presenter warned of 'aggression against the homeland' and mentioned the studio was filled with dust.
Moments later, an explosion interrupted the broadcast, and the anchor fled the scene, cutting the screen behind her. The feed quickly switched to pre-recorded programming.
The strike came about an hour after Israel issued evacuation warnings to residents in central Tehran, including the area housing state TV, police headquarters, and three hospitals.

Israeli military officials claimed that up to 330,000 people were affected by the alert and said they had achieved 'full aerial superiority' over Tehran.
Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin of the Israeli military said airstrikes had destroyed over 120 surface-to-surface missile launchers—about a third of Iran's total arsenal—and targeted 10 Quds Force command centers in the capital. The military called the strikes a 'deep and comprehensive blow to the Iranian threat.'
Iran retaliated by firing around 100 missiles, vowing further responses to Israeli attacks that have reportedly killed at least 224 people in the country since Friday. Meanwhile, a missile landed near the U.S. consulate in Tel Aviv, causing minor damage but no injuries, according to Ambassador Mike Huckabee.
In total, more than 370 missiles and hundreds of drones have been launched by Iran since the escalation began, killing at least 24 in Israel and injuring over 500, Israeli officials said.
