Where Alabama ranks in final AP Poll Top 25 following Elite Eight NCAA Tournament run
Following the national championship game Monday night, the final 2024-25 men's college basketball AP Poll Top 25 was released Tuesday afternoon, which revealed just where the Alabama Crimson Tide are ranked following their run in the NCAA Tournament. In the final update of the season, Alabama rose one spot from their previous ranking before March Madness, sitting at No. 6 nationally to conclude the year. This move is similar to what happened to the Crimson Tide in the final USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, which was also released Tuesday. A No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Crimson Tide went on to make the program's second consecutive Elite Eight appearance, picking up wins over Robert Morris, Saint Mary's, and BYU along the way. Alabama however saw their season come to an end with an 85-65 loss to No. 1 seed Duke in the Elite Eight, falling just one win short of their second consecutive Final Four appearance. The Crimson Tide's 2024-25 season officially ended with a 28-9 overall record, as well as a fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Where Alabama ranks in final 2024-25 women's basketball AP Poll Top 25 In what was the final update of the 2024-25 season, the Alabama Crimson Tide's spot has been revealed in the latest women's college basketball AP Poll Top 25. Released on Monday afternoon, Alabama rose a total of one spot in the final women's AP Poll this season, as the Crimson Tide now sit at No. 20 nationally to conclude the year. This ranking is similar to Alabama's standing in the final USA TODAY Sports Women's Basketball Coaches Poll, which saw the Crimson Tide ranked No. 21 nationally in the final update Monday. Carrying a ranking of No. 21 entering the NCAA Tournament, Alabama went 1-1 during March Madness, with the win coming via an 81-67 victory over No. 12 seed Green Bay in the first round. Alabama, a No. 5 seed, however saw their season come to an end in the round of 32 with a 111-108 double overtime loss to No. 4 seeded Maryland. As a result, the Crimson Tide officially concluded the 2024-25 season with a 24-9 overall record. Alabama's AP Poll ranking revealed following home loss vs. Auburn
After suffering a 94-85 home loss to the Auburn Tigers on Saturday afternoon, the latest AP Poll Top 25 ranking has been officially revealed for the Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball program. Released on Monday afternoon, the Crimson Tide were ranked as the nation's No. 4 team according to the latest AP Poll Top 25, trailing only Auburn, Florida, and Duke. This ranking was different from their's the previous week, as Alabama dropped two spots from No. 2. This past week, Alabama played a total of two games, the first of which was an impressive 103-80 road win over the Texas Longhorns in Austin. Saturday however, the Crimson Tide then saw their seven-game winning streak snapped with the aforementioned home loss to Auburn. Alabama's next game will come Wednesday night when the Crimson Tide travel to Missouri, with the matchup set to begin at 9 p.m. ET on SEC Network. The Tigers were ranked No. 15 in Monday's AP Poll. Alabama's AP Poll ranking revealed after win at Arkansas, Auburn & Duke losses
In what is one of the more anticipated updates of the 2024-25 season so far, the Alabama Crimson Tide are back on the move in the latest AP Poll Top 25. Released on Monday afternoon, the Crimson Tide rise a spot up to No. 2 in the latest AP Poll, with Alabama jumping the Duke Blue Devils after they fell this past week. The Crimson Tide also received 23 first place votes, but still sit behind No. 1 Auburn in the AP Poll, who received 34 first place votes, with only nine total points separating the two for the nation's top spot. Now sitting at 20-3 overall, as well as 9-1 in SEC play, the Crimson Tide now enter a huge week of action that is set to begin Tuesday night in Austin against the Texas Longhorns. After that, the Crimson Tide, who have currently won six-straight games, will return home Saturday for a massive Iron Bowl rivalry matchup with Auburn, whom they are currently tied for first place in the SEC standings with. ESPN's "College GameDay" has also announced that the show will broadcast live from Coleman Coliseum on Saturday morning ahead of the contest between the nation's No. 1 and No. 2 team.
