Israel launches strikes on Iran, US sources say

Israel has carried out strikes on Iran, according to multiple media reports. Two US officials who spoke to Reuters news agency said strikes had been carried out, while the Associated Press reported explosions rang out across Iran's capital, Tehran. Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz announced a "special situation" in Israel over Israel attacking Iran. He said schools would be closed in the country on Friday.
