He advised the project staff to plant saplings that will benefit the farmers in the long term. He also advised the farmers to cultivate medicinal plants. As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, the Ayyampalayam Farmers Producers Organisation organised various events. The Collector presided over the event. The Collector released pamphlets on the theme 'A Plastic - Free Earth' and planted saplings to create awareness of a 'Plastic - Free Earth'. The Collector also inaugurated the sale of new food products of Ayyampalayam Farmers Producers Organisations. NABARD officials were also present at the event.
