Real Madrid: Ouazane's Signing on Hold

Rabat – Abdellah Ouazzane's move to Real Madrid is currently on hold, despite the club being well on track and close to sealing the deal, according to Spanish sport outlet AS. The young 16-year-old Moroccan midfielder has become a standstill, after everything was on track and almost finalized, he has been in Madrid for four days in hopes of finalizing his transfer process with the club. According to AS, the process is currently on hold due to medical issues. While there is a palpable risk of it all falling apart, the player and the club hope for more positive prospects. He boasts excellent handling and dribbling abilities, registering 29 goals and assisting 10 at the youth level in the 2024-25 season. The player earned an eye mark over three continental squads, with the insistence of Ajax Amsterdam and Paris Saint Germain offer to retrain along with Barcelona. The deal should be finalized by the next few days, with Real Madrid said to be eager to sign the Moroccan prodigy. Tags: Barcelona vs Real Madrid

Liverpool positioned to sign Neymar's SUCCESSOR

Liverpool are in line to sign Neymar's successor for the Brazilian national team. A major coup if they can pull it off. Liverpool are now consistently linked with a move for Rodrygo in the Spanish press. The Brazilian is expected to leave Real Madrid this summer after looking surplus to requirements under Xabi Alonso. AS are the latest to make the link. They claim Liverpool are now at the front of the queue for Rodrygo, moving Arsenal to one side. He's expected to cost around €100m if Real Madrid do indeed sell - potentially one of the biggest transfers of the entire window. Even if Liverpool are the one club where that wouldn't be the case. But Rodrygo is available and if Luis Diaz departs this summer - and that's starting to look likely - then Liverpool will reportedly move for him. With that, they'd secure one of the most talented players in the world. From Neymar to Rodrygo Rodrygo Goes is someone Liverpool have tracked for a long, long time now. They initially wanted to grab him from Santos before the hype grew. Santos, however, decided at the last minute to wait enough a year. They wanted to take a chance on that hype generating a much bigger sale down the line. They were correct to do so, as it turned out. Rodrygo became a phenomenon and Real Madrid paid a lot of money to sign him. From there, his reputation hasn't quite grown at the rate it should have. Rodrygo is pretty much fourth fiddle at Real Madrid right now and not considered to be a genuine superstar. Only, he is. All the data suggests there's a much better player there than people realise - there's a reason Neymar considered him a successor for Brazil, after all. Rodrygo tells the story of that to Podpah, as relayed by AS.

Brahim Diaz Faces Uncertain Future at Real Madrid

Brahim Diaz is facing mounting uncertainty over his role at the club, despite solid appearances last season and a recent contract renewal. According to Spanish newspaper AS , Diaz, who played more than 100 minutes in the Club World Cup, has seen his prominence diminish under new head coach Xabi Alonso. The 25-year-old featured sporadically in the competition, with Turkish youngster Arda Güler and other emerging names handed more responsibility. Alonso's early reign has seen the rise of several promising players, including Gonzalo Garcia, Dean Huijsen and Güler, all of whom have adapted quickly to the Basque manager's system. As a result, Diaz has struggled to secure meaningful minutes, despite having been a regular under previous boss Carlo Ancelotti. The Malaga-born attacking midfielder joined Real Madrid in 2019 but spent three seasons on loan at AC Milan, where he impressed before returning in 2023. Under Ancelotti, he became a dependable substitute and often filled in for Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham. Last season, Diaz made 56 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing seven assists, slightly down from 12 goals and nine assists the previous year. However, despite the increased number of matches, his average playing time dropped from 45.5 to 40.8 minutes per game. Competition for places has intensified. Arda Güler has become a key figure in Alonso's plans, even taking charge in midfield during the Club World Cup. Meanwhile, the arrival of Argentine winger Franco Mastantuono—signed for €63.2m—adds another layer of difficulty for Diaz, as Real Madrid look to the future. Nevertheless, Diaz appears determined to fight for his spot and could benefit from the potential departure of Brazilian winger Rodrygo, who is being courted by Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Liverpool. Diaz's best hope may lie in holding on and capitalising should an opening arise. For now, he remains on the fringes, battling to stay relevant in an increasingly crowded squad.
