US actor Neil Patrick Harris dines out at popular Glasgow restaurant

How I Met Your Mother star, Neil Patrick Harris paid a visit to the newly opened Maki & Ramen on Byres Road in the West End. An iconic Hollywood star has been spotted in a popular West End restaurant. Neil Patrick Harris delighted staff at Japanese sushi restaurant Maki & Ramen on Byres Road, which just opened its doors for the first time on Monday evening as he posed for photos with the workers. The 51-year-old actor, best known for her roles in the comedy sitcom How I Met Your Mother and the Netflix show A Series Of Unfortunate Events, paid a visit to the Glasgow foodie hotspot, which is a traditional Asian restaurant chain, inspired by Japanese ramen shops with multiple locations across the city. ‌ Maki & Ramen shared her visit on Instagram as they uploaded a snap of Neil alongside a staff member. They captioned the post: "Legendary! What a privilege to welcome Neil Patrick Harris to Maki & Ramen Byres Road over the weekend!" ‌ Maki & Ramen offer a range of signature ramen broths, sushi plates, yakisoba and katsu curry dishes. Their other Glasgow venues in Bath Street and Renfield Street boast an impressive 4.5 rating out of 5 on TripAdvisor. Fans were left stunned as they rushed to the comments to declare their love for the star. One wrote: "No wayyyy!! so wish I was there". Another commented: "Good taste, maki is the best!" A third replied: "That's awesome." A fourth remarked: "Fabulous in lemony Snicket". Someone else quoted his catchphrase from a certain TV show: "Legen- wait for it.... dary. LEGENDARY!!!" ‌ American born Neil Patrick Harris shot to fame as a child actor on Doogie Howser, M.D., before he landed his role as Barney Stinson on the CBS hit How I Met Your Mother which turned him into a household name. The 51-year-old has also starred in multiple children's films including Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1 &2, both of the Smurfs films, and The Muppets. ‌ Neil is married to American actor and chef, David Burtka, whom he tied the knot with in a lavish wedding ceremony in Italy in 2014. The long-term director of How I Met Your Mother officiated the wedding while Sir Elton John performed at the reception. Neil and David have been together since 2004 and in October 2010, they became parents to twins, son Gideon and daughter Harper, who were born via a surrogate mother.
