While fighting to survive, Jeong tries to remember all the lessons her uncle taught her before his apparent suicide to help her stay alive. The new series will see lead actor Lee Dong-wook return to his role as Jinman, Jeon's uncle, and Kim Hye-jun as Jeong After her uncle's death in the first season, Jeong takes over his shopping mall but we then see Jinman return and help her face her next opponents. There are also new cast members in the upcoming season, with Japanese actress Masaki Okada and Pachinko's Hyunri set to star in the show. When it first aired, A Shop For Killers received a four-star review from NME's Puah Ziwei. They wrote that the show made 'for a fun and appealing popcorn watch, one that fires all the right synapses in your brain. 'It's just enough to keep you hooked – that is, if you're willing to let the plot holes slide'. It was also called one of the best Korean dramas in 2024. The second season will stream on Disney+ internationally and Hulu in the US. A launch date is yet to be decided. A Shop for Killers currently holds a 98% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and 100% critic score.
