Johnson eyeing another term as Sabah Tennis Association president
Kota Kinabalu:
Johnson Koh hopes to lead the Sabah Tennis Association (STA) for another term before stepping down after more than a decade at the helm.
In a statement released on Tuesday, he called on all the affiliates to support him at the Annual General Meeting scheduled tomorrow (Thursday) here in Kota Kinabalu.

'I will be going for one more term as president of STA before officially handing over the leadership to another capable candidate, and I will be always available if needed,' he said.
He believed he has done a lot to the sport since he was elected 17 years ago and hoped all the affiliates and delegates would consider his plea.

Among the achievements he stated are the success in getting Sabah Sports Board to construct the roofs for the Likas Tennis Courts, initiating the Sabah Team Tennis invitational Tournament, bringing the Asia Tennis Federation ATF 14 Tournament in Sabah and improving the financial status of STA.
In addition, he also claimed that he was instrumental in getting the Sandakan tennis courts resurfaced and hope to be there in person when it is officially opened by Federal Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh later this year.

Meanwhile, the Inter affiliates tournament will be held after the AGM hosted by Kota Kinabalu District Tennis Association under its newly elected president Dr Terrance Soong.
