Govt to set up special dept for Pravasi Rajasthanis
Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Monday that his govt will organise a Pravasi Rajasthani Sammelan on Dec 10 in honour of the contributions of non-resident Rajasthanis, and also establish a new govt department for them.

Directing officials to ensure the event's success, Sharma ordered that guidelines be issued to appoint additional district collectors as nodal officers in all districts to address issues related to non-resident Rajasthanis. This single point of contact will ensure prompt action on matters concerning non-residents and the CM said this should be monitored regularly.
Many non-resident Rajasthanis are set to participate in the one-day conference. Sharma said that in pursuit of the goal of 'Aapno Agrani Rajasthan', the cooperation of non-resident Rajasthanis should be sought to increase investments in the state. "Officials should maintain regular contact with non-resident Rajasthanis and encourage them to invest in the state," he said. TNN
