Bakrid prayers held at Eidgah grounds
Rajamahendravaram: The Eidgah grounds in Rajamahendravaram witnessed a grand and traditional celebration of Bakrid (Eid-ul-Fitr) on Saturday, with thousands of Muslims offering special prayers in a spirit of devotion and unity.
The congregational prayers were led by Royal Mosque Imam Abdul Hafeez Khan, who delivered special sermons and guided the community in collective supplication.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Rajamahendravaram city MLA Adireddy Srinivas, State Setti Balija Corporation Chairman Kudupudi Sattibabu, and TDP leader Dondapati Satyam Babu, who conveyed warm Bakrid wishes to the Muslims.
Prominent community representatives such as Eidgah Honorary President Amanullah Baig, President Syed Adil Arifuddin, Royal Mosque Trust Board President Sheikh Abdul Kareem, and trustees Danasha Vali, Md Moosa, Mujan Ibrahim, former District Waqf Board Chairman, Md Kareem Khan, Congress leader Abdullah Shareef, and TDP leaders Meera Shareef, Rafeeq Raja, Mujeeb, Ghafoor, Imran, Maulana Qutubuddin, Ali Mohiuddin, Khan, Mahbub, and others were in attendance.
Special prayers were also held at Lababeen Masjid in Jampeta, under the leadership of President Md. Habibullah Khan, marking the occasion with devotion and community spirit.
The celebrations were peaceful and harmonious, reflecting the rich cultural and spiritual fabric of Rajamahendravaram.
