Foreign Minister Attends GCC Ministerial Meeting
Email : editor@ Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the 163rd Ministerial Meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held in Saudi Arabia. The session, chaired by Abdullah bin Ali Al Yahya, Kuwait's Foreign Minister and current President of the Ministerial Council, was attended by the Foreign Ministers of the GCC member states, alongside Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC. Key discussions at the meeting included the progress on implementing decisions made by the GCC Supreme Council and the Ministerial Council, as well as the recommendations put forward by the various ministerial committees and specialized councils regarding joint cooperation within the GCC.

GCC Countries Seek Stronger Trade Alliances in Ongoing Free Trade Negotiations
Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, participated in the 163rd session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council, held in Makkah under the chairmanship of Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Abdullah bin Ali Al Yahya. The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of GCC member states, along with the GCC Secretary-General, H.E. Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi. The council discussed key agenda items, including the implementation of resolutions from the GCC Supreme Council and the Ministerial Council. Ministers also reviewed recommendations submitted by specialized committees and ministerial councils regarding various aspects of GCC cooperation. The meeting addressed ongoing negotiations on the GCC's free trade agreements with international partners and explored ways to enhance ministerial-level engagements with friendly nations. Discussions also covered reports prepared by the GCC General Secretariat on advancing Gulf regional collaboration. In addition, the ministers reviewed the latest regional developments and efforts to maintain security and stability. A major focus was on strengthening cooperation following the outcomes of the emergency Arab summit held in Egypt, particularly concerning the Palestinian issue and the situation in Gaza. The Ministerial Council reaffirmed its commitment to the unity and cohesion of the GCC, emphasizing the importance of deeper coordination and integration among member states. The council also reiterated its stance in defending any GCC country against potential threats. Attending the meeting from Bahrain were Sheikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia; Ambassador Talal Abdul-Salam Al Ansari, Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Ambassador Mohammed Al Haidan, Acting Head of the GCC Affairs Sector, along with the accompanying delegation.
