Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today reported on a range of significant events that unfolded over the past 24 hours. Key activities included royal engagements, diplomatic meetings, and advancements in technology and safety regulations. According to Bahrain News Agency, HM King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received the BDF Commander-in-Chief, where discussions likely focused on national defense matters. Further emphasizing Bahrain's military ties, the BDF Commander-in-Chief also met with the UK Senior Defence Advisor for the Middle East. In governance, HM King issued Order (14) of 2025, while HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad chaired a meeting of the Hawar Islands Development Higher Authority and issued Decisions (7) and (8) of 2025. Diplomatic engagements were highlighted by the Foreign Minister's meeting with the US Ambassador, with Bahrain advocating for calm to prevent escalation between India and Pakistan. Hawar Islands meeting
TDT | Manama His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King, President of the Supreme Council for Environment, and Chairman of the Higher Authority for Hawar Islands Development, chaired the first meeting of the commission at Al Riffa Palace. The meeting follows the issuance of Royal Decree (115) of 2024 establishing the Higher Authority for Hawar Islands Development. Members of the authority were present. HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad stressed the importance of continuing to attract strategic tourism projects that offer added value, particularly those that highlight the Kingdom of Bahrain's natural landscapes, diverse environment, and rich cultural heritage.

HM King Congratulated by HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad
Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of HM the King, on the Kingdom of Bahrain's successful hosting of the 2025 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, and on McLaren's victory in the race. According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad attributed the event's success to HM the King's support, noting that it reflects Bahrain's leading position and reputation internationally. He also highlighted the success of the Grand Prix over the years, noting the significant accomplishments and distinguished attendance in the current edition. HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad underscored Bahrain's capability to organise and host world-class international events.
