Al-Sudani meets with the Qatari Minister of Culture

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Thursday, with the Qatari Minister of Culture, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani. The meeting included discussions on bilateral relations and ways to enhance the exchange of expertise and experiences in the cultural sphere.
The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that, "The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of continued coordination and joint efforts to support the sectors of culture, tourism, and antiquities, highlighting their vital role in society. He also noted the growing relations between Iraq and Qatar across various fields, including the cultural domain.'
The Prime Minister stressed,' the role of culture in development and in strengthening national identity, as well as the significance of mutual cultural events in fostering ties among brotherly and friendly nations. He praised the Iraqi Cultural Week held in Doha two months ago and directed that all necessary support be provided for hosting the upcoming Qatari Cultural Week in Baghdad.'
For his part, the Qatari Minister of Culture conveyed the greetings of the Emir of Qatar to Prime Minister Al-Sudani and affirmed Qatar's keenness to deepen cooperation with Iraq. He also praised the Prime Minister's efforts in promoting comprehensive development and supporting culture, noting that Baghdad's selection as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025 marks a key milestone in advancing cultural collaboration.
