Pride Month 2025: Festivals, flag raisings and more in Bucks County, Montco

June is Pride Month — a time of celebration for the LGBTQ+ community. Inspired by the Stonewall Uprising, Pride Month also serves as an opportunity to reflect on the progress made in the struggle for equal rights, while bringing awareness to the issues and policies still impacting the LGBTQ+ community today. Pride marches first began in 1970 on the first anniversary of Stonewall in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Since then, the pride movement has grown into a month-long celebration with events across the country recognizing and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community. Here are a few events in Bucks and Montgomery counties where you can celebrate pride locally: Join local LGBTQ+ youth on old courthouse lawn, as they kick off Pride Month with a raising of the pride flag. A short pride walk to Borough Hall will follow for a second pride flag raising. When: Sunday, June 1 at 5 p.m. Where: 55 E. Court St. and 10 Doyle St., Doylestown Details: Immigration rally in Doylestown: Bucks County, ICE plan draws ire from both sides. Rally gets tense in Doylestown Lower Gwynedd Township will be holding a pride flag raising ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park to celebrate pride, diversity and inclusion. When: Monday, June 2 at 5:30 p.m. Where: 1029 N. Bethlehem Pike, Spring House Details: Lower Gwynedd Township on Facebook The annual celebration includes the raising of the pride flag, free pride swag, supportive resources and an all-ages after party at Vault Brewing. When: Tuesday, June 3 at 6 p.m. Where: Yardley Borough Hall, 56 S. Main St., Yardley Details: Join Abington Township Public Library for a free outdoor event featuring live performances by Music with Ry and Traffic Jam, crafts, giveaways, vendors, food trucks, community organizations and more. In case of rain, the festivities will be moved inside the library. When: Tuesday, June 3 from 6–8 p.m. Where: Abington Township Public Library, 1030 Old York Road, Abington Details: Join Bristol Alt Faire in Bristol Borough for its annual pride celebration, an indoor and outdoor event hosted at Energy Ripple and featuring food, vendors, drag performance and supportive nonprofits. When: Wednesday, June 4 from 6–9 p.m. Where: 134 Mill Street, Bristol Details: Alt Faire Pride event page on Facebook The art museum is hosting a life drawing workshop with drag performers Jenny Henny and Pariah Sinclair posing as models as participants explore the art of figure drawing, while capturing the energy of drag. Bring your own art supplies or use what is provided. This is an adults-only event and registration is required. When: Thursday, June 5 from 6–8 p.m. Where: 138 S. Pine St., Doylestown Details: Hosted in the Upper Dublin High School cafeteria, this free all-ages event celebrating pride with crafts, games, singing, performances, food, resource tables and vendors. It is free and open to the community. When: Friday, June 6 from 6–8 p.m. Where: 800 Loch Alsh Ave., Fort Washington More info: Upper Dublin LGBTQIA+ Equity Committee on Facebook The first of their Pride Month film series, this screening features a collection of short films curated specifically for ages 10 and up that highlight a wide range of LGBTQ+ identities and experiences from around the world. The event is free, but tickets can be reserved online. When: Saturday, June 3 at 10 a.m. Where: 20 E. State St., Doylestown Details: Show off your LGBTQ+ pride and allyship at Lansdale's annual Walk & Roll event. The walk starts at Trinity Lutheran Church, proceeding up and back along West Main Street and returning to Trinity. Parking is available at the church. This year, instead of the end of walk celebration, participants are encouraged to stay for Lansdale Day — a separate family-friendly event on Main Street hosted by the Rotary Club of North Penn. When: Saturday, June 7 from 10–11 a.m. Where: 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale More info: Celebrate LGBTQ+ pride through creative expression in an art class guided by Philly-based mixed media artist Taylor Rae Cole. The program is open to youth in grades 6–12 and pre-registration is encouraged. When: Saturday, June 7 from 2–4 p.m. Where: Abington Township Public Library, 1030 Old York Road, Abington Details: Grace Presbyterian Church, in collaboration with the Jenkintown Library, will be hosting a pride festival featuring a vendor marketplace, Pride-themed goods, community resources, bake sale, live music, interactive arts and crafts, family-friendly games, bounce houses, dunk tank, food trucks, art show and meet and greet with author Emma Copley Eisenberg. When: Saturday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: 444 York Road, Jenkintown Details: Join Doylestown Pride Fest and Discover Doylestown for an outdoor concert hosted in partnership with Picnics on Pine and Stage United. Bring your own chairs or blankets, along with snacks and beverages. Lineup to be announced. This is a rain-or-shine event, and tickets are available online. When: Saturday, June 14 from 5–8 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Where: 84 E. Oakland Ave., Doylestown Details: Pride Music Day on Facebook The Rainbow Room is hosting a free, outdoor celebration of music and art with a free outdoor event featuring local queer youth live music and performances. Pride merchandise, baked goods and LGBTQ+ youth art will also be available for sale. When: Wednesday, June 18 from 6–8 p.m. Where: 130 E. Swamp Road, Doylestown Details: Bucks County summer concert series 2025: Where to see free, low-cost shows. The block party will take place on East State Street between Pine and Main streets, featuring vendors, musical performances and activities. When: Saturday, June 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Where: East State Street, Doylestown Details: A one-day screening of Sabbath Queen will be shown as a part of the theater's Pride Month film series. Tickets can be purchased online. 'Sandi Dubowski's moving documentary explores two decades of the life of Rabbi Amichai Lau-Lavie, 38th generation in a venerable family of Orthodox Rabbis, and founder of the experimental and radically inclusive Jewish Community Lab-Shul. A self-declared 'drag-queen rebel' and 'queer father', Lau-Levie sets out to become a religious leader whose life's work is to make the tenets of his tradition available to all, regardless of sexual or gender identity, and to ensure Judaism holds a place for people like him,' the website read. When: Sunday, June 22 at 1 p.m. Where: 20 E. State St., Doylestown Details: Join Souderton Area for All as they host their 3rd annual picnic at Zwingli United Church of Christ. This family-friendly event celebrates pride through games, music, trivia, fairy storytime, facepainting, a doggy drag parade, arts and crafts, vendors and food. When: Sunday, June 22 from 2–6 p.m. Where: 350 Wile Ave., Souderton Details: An outdoor screening of The Birdcage will take place at Broad Commons Park as a part of the theater's Pride Month film series in partnership with Doylestown Pride and Shankweiler's Drive-In Theatre. Bring your own chair or blanket. Tickets can be purchased online and will also be available at the door. 'A cherished staple of LGBTQ cinema, THE BIRDCAGE features standout performances from Robin Williams, who plays a gay cabaret owner, and Nathan Lane, who plays his drag queen partner. Together, they pretend to be straight so that their son can comfortably introduce them to his fiancée's moralistic parents. This brilliantly crafted farce from director Mike Nichols and writer, Elaine May is both hilarious and heartwarming,' the website read. State St., Doylestown Details: The Welcome Project is hosting its annual free, indoor and outdoor festival with live music, food, community resources, family-friendly activities and more. Featured performers and entertainment include Jakeya Limitless, Yari, Positive Movement Entertainment Drumline, Invert Your World Studio, Trixy Valentine and Philly Cheer Elite. Free parking is available at on-site and the ACME on Old York Road.
