Man ordered to pay Dhs10,000 in compensation to woman

Abu Dhabi Family and Civil and Administrative Court ordered a man to pay Dhs10,000 as compensation to a woman, as he had insulted and slandered her through an email he sent to her. In the details, a woman filed a lawsuit against a man demanding that he pay her Dhs150,000 as compensation for the material and moral damages she incurred, as well as paying lawsuit fees and expenses, and attorney's fees. The plaintiff explained that she had filed a criminal lawsuit against him, and the court fined him Dhs5,000, and the ruling had become final. The appellee said that it had not been proved that the plaintiff had suffered any harm, adding that he had health and psychological issues. He allegedly requested the dismissal of the lawsuit and attached a copy of the medical reports and the appointments of his psychiatric clinic. The court explained that it was evident that the appellee had offended the plaintiff, causing her psychological harm, as stated in the criminal judgment. Therefore, the court ordered him to pay her Dhs10,000 as compensation for the psychological damages she incurred.

Woman ordered to pay sister Dhs445,340 over property share in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Family and Civil and Administrative Court ordered a woman to pay her sister Dhs445,340, as they inherited a commercial building equally, and the second sister paid her sister's share of the expenses for operating the property and the costs of common services. However, when the first sister was asked to pay back what was paid on her behalf, she refused. The second sister filed a lawsuit demanding that her sister be ordered to pay Dhs700,372, in addition to the lawsuit fees and expenses, and attorney's fees. The court appointed a technical expert committee to investigate the case, and the committee concluded in its report that, based on the electricity and water bills, the relationship between the two parties dates back to January 2019, where each owns half of the property. The report added that the plaintiff paid Dhs1,108,380 for the services required for the property with the intention of exploitation and investment, including her sister's share of Dhs554,190. The report also stated that the appellee only paid her sister Dhs108,850 out of the total amount of Dhs554,190, so the court obligated her to pay the remaining amount of Dhs445,340.
