Abu Ragheef stated, 'In cooperation with the Media Office of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, the Commission has been engaged for the past ten days in exceptional efforts across all levels and sectors. This work has been coordinated with relevant entities, including professional unions, technical bodies, official institutions, and other concerned entities as part of the preparations for the summit.' He added that the Commission has established key service providers to provide exceptional internet and telecommunications coverage. Additionally, a dedicated platform has been launched to collect information related to participating journalists, including contact details and relevant data, in order to streamline their coverage of the event. 'This moment marks a significant and exceptional event for Iraq,' Abu Ragheef noted, 'underscoring Baghdad's historic leadership role in fostering dialogue, promoting peace, and advancing reconciliation throughout the country's history.' He emphasized that the presence of Arab leaders and presidents in Baghdad for the summit represents an important milestone and a further sign of Iraq's ongoing recovery—an encouraging addition to the country's broader trajectory of resurgence in recent years.

Shafaq News/ On Sunday, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani praised Dr. Mohammed Taher Abu Ragheef, a British-Iraqi surgeon, for his life-saving medical work in Gaza. According to an official statement, Ayatollah al-Sistani met with the doctor and listened to his account of the dire healthcare situation in the war-torn Palestinian enclave. 'The Grand Ayatollah expressed his gratitude for Dr. Abu Ragheef's dedication and prayed for his continued success,' the statement read. Born in Najaf in the 1980s, Abu Ragheef moved to the United Kingdom with his family, where he specialized in trauma surgery, upper limb reconstruction, and peripheral nerve surgery. In early 2024, he joined the "Fajr Scientific" medical delegation to volunteer in Gaza's hospitals. Over six months, he performed more than 300 complex surgeries and treated over 1,200 injured patients despite critical shortages of medical supplies. One of his most remarkable achievements was successfully reattaching the severed arm of a nine-year-old girl, who had lost it in an Israeli airstrike on Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. On January 25, 2025, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani called to commend his efforts, describing him as a 'humanitarian ambassador.' Following an official invitation, Abu Ragheef travelled to Iraq, where he was welcomed by the prime minister.

Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency INA that Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today the Iraqi doctor Mohammed Taher Abu Ragheef, known as the 'Ambassador to Humanity.' The statement read 'Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized the humanitarian and moral significance of Dr. Abu Ragheef's efforts in response to the tragedy in Gaza, describing them as a source of pride for all Iraqis. He highlighted that his actions embody the values and principles that define the Iraqi people's steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their just cause.' It further said 'In recognition of his courageous humanitarian service, Prime Minister Al-Sudani directed that Dr. Abu Ragheef be granted a residential unit in central Baghdad and a diplomatic passport. HeHe also ordered the establishment of the Iraqi Hospital in Gaza to serve the resilient Palestinian people, reaffirming Iraq's principled and humanitarian stance.'
