Bethel HS debuts new simulation lab
HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Bethel High School will debut a new simulation lab Wednesday at 4 p.m. for students in the Academy of Law and Public Safety and the Governor's Health Sciences Academy.
The lab will include an emergency management center, ambulance simulation and 911 dispatch training designed to give students training in crisis response and public safety. The skills developed will prepare students for careers in emergency services, law enforcement, and healthcare.
The lab will be named after former Hampton sheriff B.J. Roberts, who became the first African-American constitutional officer and Sheriff for the city.
