Acadia Parish seeks Quincy Dominque Jones, wanted for attempted murder charges
ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) — Authorities are requesting assistance in locating Qunicy Dominique Jones who is wanted for attempted second degree murder, deputies said. Jones is described to be a a black male who is 35 years of age. Jones's height is said to be five feet eight inches and weighs approximately 250 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, officials said. Officials said Jones's last known address was 100 Kathy Meadows Ln., in Crowley. Acadia Parish roads closed due to flooding
ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) — Motorists in Acadia Parish may have to take an alternate route this morning due to flooding. The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office has announced the following road closures: Roy Road south of East Whitney Casanova Road Homer Adams Road south of Simon La. 95 south of St. Margaret Road Lovell Street near Mason Road Bulldog Lane Leger Road at Standard Mill Road Degregory Road at Academy Drive Elenor Road at Standard Mill Road Officals said they expect other roads in the parish to flood as the day goes on. Man arrested for attempted robbery, vehicle theft, and pursuit
CROWLEY, La. (KLFY)– A man was arrested after he attempted to rob a convenience store, stole two vehicles and led a vehicle pursuit, Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office said. Officials arrested Aaron Senegal, 34, of Crowley who was charged with simple robbery, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated flight from an officer, two counts of aggravated criminal damage to property, two counts of illegal possession of stolen property, three counts of possession of firearms by convicted felon and two counts of obscenity, authorities said. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when officials were dispatched to a local convenience store regarding an attempted simple robbery. It was reported that Senegal allegedly attempted to take money from the register but the clerk of the store pushed him from behind the counter where he then stole a vehicle from the parking lot and fled the scene, officials said. Authorities said they believed Senegal drove to Rayne and was allegedly involved in a hit and run. The investigation of this case remains ongoing by the Rayne Police Department. Subscribe Now The suspect then traveled to Morse, where it was said that he abandoned the stolen vehicle from Crowley and then proceeded to steal another vehicle from a nearby residence. It was then believed that Senegal allegedly entered the residence and stole the keys, authorities said. During the the investigations, it was reported that the suspect was observed traveling to Crowley in the second stolen vehicle, authorities said. When officials attempted to stop the vehicle, Sengeal led then them in a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit ended on Schule Road north of Crowley, where the suspect crashed the stolen vehicle into a nearby field and was taken into custody immediately, authorities said. Once treated at a local hospital, the suspect was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail. Officials stated Senegal's bond has been set at $171,5000. Three fugitives wanted for sex offender violations
ACADIA PARISH, La. () — The following three fugitives listed are wanted for sex offender registry violations, authorities said. Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help in locating these men. Trivual Charles-Batiste, 55, is wanted for failure to notify change of address, officials said. Authorities describe Charles-Batiste as a black male with black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 11 inches in height and weights about 165 pounds. According to officials, his last know location is 902 Locust St. in Rayne. Melvin Dugar, 25, is wanted for failure to register as a convicted sex offender. Dugar is described as a black male with black hair, brown eyes, he is 5 feet 11 inches in height andweighs 192 pounds, authorities said. His last known address is 5163 Simon Rd. in Crowley, officials said. Charles Williams, Sr., 47, is also wanted for failure to notify of change of address. According to authorities, Williams is described as a black male with gray hair, brown eyes, he is 6 foot 1 inch in height and weighs about 150 pounds.
