Groundbreaking for new improvements at Buttery Brook Park in South Hadley
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – There will be a groundbreaking ceremony at Buttery Brook Park to kick off new improvements being made.

Some of the new features include pickleball courts, an ADA accessible playground, a disc golf course, 200 new trees, a half-mile walking loop, and a new band shell. These upgrades were made possible through the a matching Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities (PARC) grant, as well as Buttery Brook Friends, community, and business support.
states that the grant was created to help cities and towns in acquiring and developing land for park and outdoor recreation purposes. The grants can also be used by municipalities to acquire parkland, build a new park, or to renovate an existing park.
Town officials, as well as community leaders, will be in attendance for the ceremony. The groundbreaking is being held Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 at 123 Williamansett Street in South Hadley.
