Country music star and former GSU football player arrested in Tennessee
OCONEE, Tenn. (WSAV) — Gavin Adcock, a rising star on the country music scene, was arrested in Tennessee on May 21.
According to Nashville newspaper The Tennessean, the Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested Adcock for reckless driving and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. Adcock posted pond and was released the next day.
Adcock played football for Georgia Southern but was suspended from the team in 2021 after a video of him standing on a moving school bus and drinking a beer before a game was posted on the internet.
Adcock has sold more than 100,000 tickets for his most recent tour. His record label debut, 'Actin' Up Again,' was the most-streamed country debut album of 2024 with more than 350 million streams.
