According to defense officials, India's Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defense systems successfully intercepted these threats, with debris recovery now underway at several locations—providing physical evidence of Pakistani aggression. Understanding Air Defense Systems An air defense system comprises multiple integrated mechanisms designed to protect against enemy aerial strikes. While surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) are the most recognizable component, these systems include comprehensive networks of radars, jammers, and warning mechanisms. These systems serve three critical functions: identifying incoming threats, tracking their trajectory, and engaging them effectively. Radars emit radio waves that bounce off approaching objects, alerting operators to potential dangers.
