'A missed opportunity'
This was always going to be a tricky one to navigate for Southampton. The Premier League's lowest scorers simply could not out-think a Burnley defence that just do not concede goals. Dare I say it was the perfect game for Saints forward and West Brom loanee Adam Armstrong, who got on the scoresheet for his new club a pretty abject performance, I thought Kamaldeen Sulemana had a good game for Southampton. He was lively, tricky and one of the few players who wanted to get on the ball and play. With Premier League relegation almost an inevitability, keeping hold of players like Sulemana will be imperative if Ivan Juric's side are to mount an immediate promotion challenge next were no points at stake on Saturday, but you feel that this was a missed opportunity to gain some momentum following that win at Ipswich last week.
