Former Spartan and brother of MSU head coach lands AHL head coaching job

Former Spartan and brother of MSU head coach lands AHL head coaching job A former Spartan, and brother of head coach Adam Nightingale, is getting his shot at a professional hockey head coaching job. Jared Nightingale spent 2002-2006 patrolling the blue line in East Lansing, before going on to have a 13-year professional playing career. Now, at 41-years-old, he is following in his older brother's footsteps as a coach in the sport. Nightingale has now been hired by the Rockford IceHogs, the AHL affiliate for the Chicago Blackhawks, propelling his career in a very favorable motion forward. In his coaching career, Nightingale has served as an assistant coach for the Omaha Lancers of the USHL, the OHL's Flint Firebirds and Saginaw Spirit, and the IceHogs. He got his first taste of a head coaching gig in the 2024-25 season, running the bench for the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays, where he won the Brabham Cup and was South Division champions with a 52-15-3 record. Having the opportunity to head coach in the AHL will be massive for Nightingale, who will most likely be able to parlay that into an NHL or NCAA gig, if he chooses to do so. Michigan State hockey has just a couple of spots remaining to fill for 2025-26

Michigan State hockey has just a couple of spots remaining to fill for 2025-26 Michigan State hockey head coach Adam Nightingale has been outstanding in revamping the Spartans roster ahead of the 2025-26 season. After a disappointing first round exit at the hands of Cornell a year ago, the Spartans have their eyes set on more national goals to accomplish. With returning Hobey Baker Award winner Isaac Howard, along with star netminder Trey Augustine, the Spartans are poised to make another run at a third straight Big Ten championship, along with an NCAA Tournament run. Nightingale has done a really good job filling the holes left on the MSU roster, gaining the commitments of several top prospects including Anthony Romani, Cole Ward and Colin Ralph. Now, the finishing touches are going to be made. All that is left for the Spartans to acquire is some additional depth, with the team needed to add one more forward and one more defenseman, and then the roster will be ready to go for the 2025-26 season. Most likely, it would be expected that the Spartans turn to the OHL to fill those holes, but the transfer portal is still a very valid option for the holes as well. It wouldn't be anticipated that traditional recruiting adds would be made, but they could expedite the process of one of their commits. Either way, it should be an exciting next couple of weeks for player additions heading into the summer, where the Spartans will gear up for another run at a national championship. MAFS star reveals she's already split from her new boyfriend just months after failed romance on show

A MAFS star has revealed that she's already split from her new boyfriend, just months after a failed romance on the show. The former careers advisor - whose marriage to Adam Nightingale, 33, gripped fans of the E4 series - quit the UK shortly after the episodes aired. 5 5 And she moved on with a hunky new man after starting fresh in Sydney. Polly, 29, had headed on dates with her mystery brown haired lover, from an outdoor cinema to trips to the beach. And she was hopeful for what was to come between them, with weekends away in the diary planned, and things going 'just as they should be' between the pair. But now, in a new TikTok, the star has revealed that her romance has come to a end. She could be seen in a video miming to a song, and the caption over the top read: 'Giving myself a pep talk after another failed situationship.' Polly then mimed to the lyrics: 'I'm sexy, I'm cute, I'm popular to boot.' Fans flooded the comments with messages of support, with one writing: 'Awww I am sure u will find the one who is perfect and sweet like u polls love u so much u deserve to have happiness I am rooting for u babe u have got this darling just believe in urself beautiful x' Someone else penned: 'Baffling no matter where you are in the world they're all the same.' And a third echoed: 'Single girl mantra right there,' to which Polly replied: 'Every damn day.' Married At First Sight UK's Charlie breaks silence on reunion ban saying 'I was annoyed by it to be honest' The stunning star - who found fame on MAFS - was partnered with groom Adam. They were beset by problems from the very start of their relationship, but the pair tried to make things work. But an explosive row saw her throw a glass of wine over him in tense scenes, as their marriage crumbled. Polly was told by Adam that she wasn't his type when they met, as he said that he usually goes for "petite brunettes." Mafs couples that have stood the test of time Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby. The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam's Doncaster home. Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau. Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December. Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: 'I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out - and excited for everything to come.' Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019. Owen recalled: 'I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work. "While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in. 'The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, 'Wouldn't it be funny if I signed up?' 'A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.' Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson. Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, the show's first same sex pairing are still going strong. They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod. Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: "We're not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship." Yet she seems to have had the last laugh with her recent boost in body confidence. Prior to her new man, fans speculated that Polly had struck up a romance with Kieran Chapman. The pair appeared on the E4 show last year, but both of their marriages crumbled under the pressure of the show. Fans declared that they'd spotted clues that they were an item, as she marked Kieran's birthday with a loved up message, sharing a collection of smiley pics of them together at an event. But it's now confirmed that it was nothing more than a friendship between the pair, with Polly starting afresh down under. 5
