‘Kantara Chapter 1' Makers deny boat accident during shoot, confirm crew and equipment are safe

Earlier claims had suggested that a boat carrying Rishab Shetty and around 30 crew members had capsized, raising concerns about safety on set. However, the film's executive producer has now clarified that these reports are entirely false and misleading. According to a statement published by The New Indian Express, executive producer Adarsh JA explained that no one was on the boat when it tipped over and that it was not in use for any active filming at the time. 'The 'Kantara' shoot is happening in the Mani reservoir. We had set up a ship for background visuals. On June 14, due to strong wind and rain, the ship tipped over. But our team members were not near it, and the actual shooting location was far from that spot. Everyone is safe, and filming continues as planned,' said Adarsh JA. The filmmakers also addressed speculation that the shoot had been halted due to the incident.
