The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says a woman is facing charges following a search warrant at a home that resulted in the seizure of drugs and a weapon in Addington Highlands Township Friday.
Police say the investigation started earlier this month.
The search warrant was executed at a home located on Flinton Road where police found and seized items associated with drug trafficking, close to 23 grams of suspected fentanyl, over 42 grams of suspected methamphetamine and over three grams of suspected cocaine, according to the OPP.
A replica handgun and an expandable baton were also seized during the warrant, police add.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested without incident, police say.
She has been charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
She is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing Saturday.
