Crestview drops overtime heartbreaker in District Championship
PENINSULA, Ohio (WKBN) – Crestview girls basketball suffered a 46-42 loss in overtime to Canton South in the Division V Northeast 3 District Championship game on Saturday night. The Rebels maintained an eight-point lead at halftime before the Wildcats responded in the second half to erase the lead and force overtime. Canton South would go on to outscore Crestview, 9-5, in overtime to secure the four-point win. Despite the loss, Crestview junior Addison Rhodes scored a game-high 21 points and hit four 3-pointers, while Luvrain Gaskins scored 10 points. For the Wildcats, Summer Hastings-Peterson led the way with 18 points and Doriana Hastings-Peterson added 12. Crestview eases past Fairview in District Semifinal
COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – Number-one Crestview eases past #17 Fairview 68-29 in the Division 5 District Semifinals of the OHSAA Tournament at Crestview High School. Watch above for extended highlights. Crestview jumped out to a 29-11 lead after the first quarter and eased to victory the rest of the way. Rebel's star Addison Rhodes scored 33 points in the win, with 17 coming in the first quarter. Crestview advances to an overall season record of 21-3.
