Two people taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash
A three-vehicle collision resulted in one vehicle on its side, pinned between the other two vehicles. The crash happened at Adelaide Street and Thompson Road shortly after 9a.m. Monday morning. The representative with the Middlesex-London Paramedic Service reports two people were transported to hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening Injuries. All eastbound traffic on Thompson and southbound traffic on Adelaide was detoured while police conducted their investigation and tow crews removed the vehicles.

Firefighters tackle blaze at industrial unit
Firefighters have been working through the night to tackle a blaze at a large industrial unit. The fire broke out on Adelaide Street, Bolton, just before 21:50 BST on Thursday, with eight fire engines attending along with the aerial unit, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said. Billowing smoke could be seen across the town but crews have managed to contain the large fire. They are making "good progress" and are dampening down the area, GMFRS said. St Helen's Road has been closed in both directions Dan Perager, GMFRS Duty Group Manager, said: "Our crews worked hard to contain this incident to the building affected and to bring the fire under control. "Firefighters have worked throughout the night and we continue to make very good progress to fully extinguish the fire." Specialist appliances including the Aerial Unit and Scorpion and Turntable Ladder were called to the incident, he added. Roads shut as firefighters deal with fire at industrial unit
Roads are currently shut as emergency services deal with a fire in Bolton. Firefighters are at Adelaide Street in Bolton where a blaze had broken out at an industrial unit. A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said:' Firefighters are in attendance at a fire involving an industrial unit off Adelaide Street, Bolton, which is producing a large amount of smoke ' Nearby residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed while crews deal with the incident. 'St Helens Road and Adelaide Street have been closed while emergency services deal with this incident 'Crews are working hard to contain the fire and bring it under control.' The fire broke out around midnight with residents reporting a large emergency presence on Derby Street. Road closed due to building fire on St Helens Road both ways from Adelaide Street to Brandwood Street. We will bring you more on this incident in the morning.
